Unfortunately they have been closed since March 2020. JoAnn Clevenger have a lovely interview to the Advocate. In the article it states they are permanently closed. Another casualty of the pandemic. Don’t know if a one star for sadness in closing or a five to wish them well?‍♀️

Definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The friend green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade in particular was one of the best dishes I had on this trip. Which makes sense, considering this (now) New Orleans staple was created at Upperline! I liked the course dinner option. Portion sizes were large. I left stuffed. I love the comforting feel of this restaurant. Felt like home.

June 2021

This was our second trip to Upperline and found it as charming and tasty as the first visit. I had the Slow Roasted Duck with Peach Sauce, and my sister had the Cane River Gulf Shrimp Saute. The desert selection was the Creme Brule, We enjoyed the setting and staff and we will return on future trips.
