took 30 minutes to receive horrible shrimp and okra
never returned
spoke with julie when i got home who apologized
my cousin received the same inedible food on that day
the person cooking the okra could have easily said the item was not available

Vaucresson Creole Cafe & Deli is a restaurant and a deli that feels like a little neighborhood show. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and local, with a deli-style bar setup and constant energy. The food is amazing soul food. The smothered seafood okra with fried catfish, potato salad, and honey Drizzled cornbread is so good. The gumbo and the shrimp-and-catfish plate are also great; the fried shrimp and catfish are lightly battered and come with lemon. The warm sweet cornbread that melts with every bite is the best cornbread ever. The staff is nice, attentive, warm, and friendly. The husband-and-wife owner team are in the mix, working the register, serving, and keeping the room entertained with riddles. The husband makes the sausage fresh while the wife works the register. This is a Black owned business. One notable miss is no unsweetened iced tea. Seating is limited and they are only open for lunch. This is an easy return visit for a good meal, good value, and a good time.
