The food was great! I got a 1/2 tuna salad sandwich with tomato soup and both were very good! Ashley Nicole raved about their chicken salad! The Ruben sandwich Denise Bartlett got was very delicious as well!
We had lunch at Welty’s twice during our time in New Orleans and had a great experience both times! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent.
The husband and wife who own Welty’s are always there and couldn’t be friendlier, and the same goes for their family and the rest of the staff. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of what they serve.

Welty's Deli and Catering is a classic deli with a distinct New Orleans vibe, offering a wide range of delicious sandwiches. Located on the 2nd floor of an office and retail building, it might be easy to overlook, but the staff's friendly and genuine service makes every visit enjoyable. Customers are treated like old friends, and the atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of seating, including a balcony, making it a great place to enjoy a meal away from the crowds. The sandwiches are loaded with meat and very good, with options like corned beef, pastrami, and California Club. The deli also serves excellent soup, including crawfish bisque, and features homemade sides and a wide variety of condiments, including every hot sauce, mustard, and mayo in squeeze tubes, along with trays of pickles, onions, and tomatoes. Despite moving to the second floor in the Place St Charles food court, the quality and friendly service remain the same, making Welty's a perfect spot for lunch.
