“There is not one negative thing that I can say about this place. The restaurant is absolutely adorable. When you walk in, you instantaneously have a smile on your face. The menu is displayed in such a chic , creative way. The menu is full and amazing. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The prices still blow me away. You can not go anywhere that I know of and get the amount of food for the price as you can here. The employees are so kind and personable. I am addicted to their lemonade, and their bengiets , in my opinion, are better than Cafe Du Monde. Keep up the amazing job, Redstraw.“

“I have over 30 years of patronizing this business and I will continue to as long as they're open for business. I love the food, I've had several items from the menu and have always been satisfied. They serve a homemade burger called the Bengal Burger and it is SO GOOD, all of the food is ❤️ Phone orders taken, grest customer service and a comfortable dine-in are available. “So I had to come here to say… I just had the best lunch! I kept hearing people talk about “Big Boys” is now serving BBQ. So I decided to try it. I ordered the “Ginnie Sandwich.” It had sausage, pulled pork, and brisket… It was huge, and soooo good! Every bite was amazing!!! It’s a must try! I wish I would have taken a picture before eating it, but couldn’t wait! ☺️☺️“

“They had a special menu advertised for Mother's Day. However, for such a special occasion, they did not plan for staff/server absences. Many tables were not being used on the patio area, because they were short of servers. This was poor planning. To take your Mother or anyone for such an occasion and endure a 3+ hour wait is unacceptable.“

“It was like taking a step back in time. I am confident that I was at Buche's 55 summers ago enjoying a burger and fries and I was there today without Rod Serling in Twilight Zone enjoying the same. The floors, walls and ceiling are still the same. Same pictures are hanging depicting a simpler time. Mrs. Buche wasn't tending bar or flipping burgers and Mr.Willie was not in his rocker in the corner behind the bar, but I nodded hello anyway. It was a great deal then and the food is still a bargain - comparing quality and quantity versus price. The visit brought back old memories of good times and good friends.“

“The Island Landing has the BEST fried shrimp that I have ever eaten, and I have dined nation wide. Louisiana gulf shrimp are the best, so let's narrow it down to the state; trust me when I tell you that you won't experience better fried shrimp anywhere. It's not a fancy place, however the service was prompt, polite and friendly. If you ever find yourself in False River, don't miss the opportunity to experience the best fried shrimp on Earth!“
