“If you've ever wanted to have a waitress tell you her whole life story while you are eating an on-the road at the end of a long daycation meal with your looks-like-we're-a-couple, but we're just out fishing bud, this is the place you've been looking for. I now know way more than I should about the waitress, her cheating ex, her unfulfilled career ambitions and short lived college history. I have friends that I know less about now that I've had this meal. Obviously, we didn't go there to strike up a one sided conversation, and frankly, we couldn't get a word in edgewise. We tried. We would've had to have been rude to her for her to stop ranting and rambling. As it were, when we'd start to give feedback and input on a topic, we were cut off or talked over. This was especially common when my (heteronormative male) buddy would chime in. When polite customers are eating their meal, they can't walk away. We would have enjoyed the meal more if we weren't subjected to a sexist rant about boys being boys and women being "the sinners." The call to join a quasi-celibate sisterhood, refusing mens' advances because they *might be* cheating on some other woman, would have had a better place at someone else's table, not ours. We would have rathered our own private conversation or a little peace and quiet. We got neither during this visit. We usually enjoy playful, lighthearted banter with all service industry personnel. This was definitely not that. We did have plenty to talk about when we got back on the road, though. Given the bold, anti-male sentiment that my guy friend witnessed first hand that night, I don't expect he'll want to stop in, again, and out of principle, neither will I.“
“The atmosphere is great, especially if you're a sports fan. TVs at the table – a plus. TVs on the walls. You won't miss an6 LSU games. We had boneless buffalo wings. They were OK. Bleu cheese sauce was great. Ranch was OK. I had the shrimp wrap with a wide order of fried. The wrap was a bit soggy and the lettuce was wilted. My husband had the grilled shrimp dinner. Side servings were fries and corn machoux. The machoux was the best thing about both meals. Grilled shrimp were bland. Stay home for dinner, unless you're there to drink. I had something with peach schnapps – garden tea something or other. Pretty tasty. Needed more alcohol. It filled us up and wasn't horrible. That said, we enjoyed Fat Pat's. Perhaps the hamburgers are better.“
“I passed by a lot of waffle houses from Texas to wait for this one!It seems like I get the same cook and server Everytime who are very good at their job. Food is always perfect, service is always perfect, and they work really good together.“
“They have the best Fried Chicken around. Most people think it's a Chinese shack. Chinese food 2 stars. Fried Chicken 5 stars. The shrimp poboy is two full meals and really good. You will not be disappointed. Service is slow, but I want my food hot.“
“My wife and I went for brunch. It was amazing hands down best meal I have ever had in the city of Lafayette. Our son is a Exective chef in New Orleans so after eat the quality of food he cooks, it is hard to fined a restaurant in this area with that quality of food. Well now I can say I finally found a restaurant. Park Bistro. Next time he is in town I will definitely take him to eat there.“
“My good friend Jen took us here and baby the Philly Steak (gyro and ground beef) was out of sight! Highly recommend its so fresh and so full of flavor!! Good food, fresh atmosphere, nice service. I wouldn't try another Greek restaurant since coming here. “
“Let me just start out by saying I can't express in words how welcoming this place was being so busy that it's not easy to do, and they did a great job. Now let's talk about the food can you just think about your grandmother's cooking okay you've got it every dish is made with love from the Hamburgers, onion rings all the way down to the milkshake. Yes, I would recommend this place a thousand times. The staff was so friendly and helpful & everyone had positive attitudes . If you're ever in the Lafayette area, give Hub City a try. Mark is going to take good care of you. Thanks for the excellent service“
“I just celebrated my 30th birthday here with a table of 30 plus people I really enjoyed myself everything was amazing my server was great the food and drinks were amazing my party didn’t have any problems and I didn’t even have to wait long thank y’all again for everything coming from Dallas,Tx-Houston,Tx ?? ? ??“
“Great outdoor seating to enjoy the day, they have umbrellas and plenty of staff to accommodate you. The food was outstanding along with the drinks. We had the artichoke dip with a Pink & White and the Mai Tai.Dietary restrictions: they can custom make you what you need, plenty of menu optionsKid-friendliness: I would take my kids hereWheelchair accessibility: easy single story access“
“The food here was great!!!!! We had boudin balls, Sean's burger chili cheese, hot dog, junior burger and they were all really good. The boudin balls were off the chain!!! Don't forget you need to end your visit by getting a milkshake. That's where it's at.“
“This is a quaint little spot to grab a bite to eat. We went for lunch and did not have drinks but they had a full bar and a very interesting looking drink menu. We'll save that for our next visit. The service was fast and friendly. (We were one of only 3 tables so it was very slow)The atmosphere was quirky yet inviting and there is plenty to look at. The food was delicious. They have low carb options of that's your thing.“
“This was my first time I tried Cajun food. It was good. The portions were huge. When you order a cup of soup It is not a cup, it is a bowl. The waiting time for the food was a bit long but listening to karaoke was nice. No problem for parking“
“This was our 2nd time visiting & the food never disappoints. Of course, I had my hot chocolate that was gone before my food came out LOL I had city grits, scrambled eggs, andouille sausage & pancakes. My friend had shrimp & grits, the Hey Lucy Omellette with breakfast potatoes!! We couldn't finish everything & fixed a to-go box. The service would've gotten 5 stars, but our wait for a 2-person seating was more than an hour. That's my only negative.“
“My wife and I decided to have a meal before my music show nearby. We got greetings as we entered and we took a seat. Service came quickly and very professional. The food was great and the price was right! The music group I am with does shows in that area, and we will stop in again!“
“We came here last Saturday after a trip to the zoo. The restaurant was clean and not too busy. There were a lot of things on the menu I wanted to try. I ended up getting the gumbo and the red beans and rice. It took awhile for the food to get to us, but at least the food was good! Good portion size too. My mom had the catfish poyboy and she said it was the best bread! My only complaint is that our waitress kinda disappeared and didn't come check on us. We had to go find someone to find her to get us to go boxes and the check. Other than that though, very good food.“
“This is a quaint restaurant in the middle of Broussard. There is a nice sitting area under large oak tree. Food is always delicious. You can wait a little while, even if you call in an order as it is popular. I recommend checking it out. No alcohol is served but if you want to bring your bottle of wine and enjoy their yard, you can.“
“Walked into this store for a quick look around. They have some beautiful things in there. Literally a price point for everyone!!! You could spend several hundreds of dollars or ten. Beautiful cookware, dinnerware, cutlery, and a huge wall of kitchen gadgets. I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted in there due to time constraints, but my intention is to go back. I'm sure I will find something I'm convinced I can't live without!!!“
“I'll keep it short. Great food and service for a decent price. If you're looking for a good place to eat this may be the spot for you. The food was really good and the service was great. They don't try and coddle you like some want to be. But they are nice and courteous.“
“Food was ok. Much sweeter Chicken Wingsthan I like. Service was friendly and fast. Boneless WingsThey left out the sauce in the order. What I noticed is the place needs a good cleaning. They only have backless stools which is uncomfortable for some of us older folks. Other than that it was ok.“
“We have ordered through DoorDash on a couple of occasions so far & have had great experiences w/ food quality! Their ranch is so fresh & flavorful which is great on the grilled chicken salad as well as for dipping fries. Cheese fries are good but I am sure that if they were fresh (not traveling for delivery) would be AWESOME. Can't wait to dine in to try since delivery is a great experience!“
“The Bulldog is an icon of Lafayette. They have THE BEST crawfish in Lafayette and have an amazing staff. You get what you give with these people. Sometimes it takes a while to get your food but it's always hot and top notch. Relax and have a good time. It's how we roll in Acadiana!“
“I work nights and Mel's the only good place open when I get to Lafayette. And I am so glad they are. If not for Mel's I'd have to settle for taco bell?. I been here a bunch and it's been good every time. Get here a soon as you can.“
“Im giving this place 5 stars on the frozen margaritas alone.(.its not top shelf ...but for what it is...its in the upper tier for these types of places as far as frozen drinks go)I bought a gallon for myself my significant other to share....it cost 35 dollars....and they gave us two normal sized Styrofoam cups. The mix tasted really good and the tequila was quality...we didn't need extra shots at all....infact it, about two and a half cups she was giving all manner of indignant speeches against various injustices. I don't drink alot but the mix tastes pretty good and with it being so hot, before I knew it, I was a little indignant myself! ??For an early friday night, it did not look very busy. Two 30 something guys were having a drink on the back porch but that was about it...seemed like a chill place....I imagine they sell alot of drive thru frozen drinks...and Thats fine because they are good at making them. Not a huge amount of lighting in the parking lot...had to really look for it at night, having never been there...but it looks like a great friendly place for good natured every day people to have a drink. Person at the window was friendly.Definitely will order again when we come back to Lafayette..“
“Make sure you’re there during live music (small cover). My wife and I had a great time listening to a local band and watching the dancing. Food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was lively but inviting. Had great service. If you’re trying to catch the band make sure you arrive early to get a seat. The place packs out.“
“Best fried catfish in Lafayette. I stopped by to picked up a tray of catfish, fries and hushpuppies to treat some family for lunch. The owner greeted me at the counter and helped with my order even threw in some bread pudding for us as well. The food was a 10 in taste and freshness. If you find yourself downtown definitely stop in you'll be glad you did.“
“What can you say about the waffle house other than it's the waffle house ... it's either hit or miss with the waffle house and this trip was a hit ... good food quick service seated right away Johnston st leaves a lot to be desired but hey it's Johnston st.“
“The food was delicious and the service was beyond exceptional! Both the waitress (Diana) and the grill chef who cooked our food (LJ) were extremely friendly and helpful! We would definitely recommend eating here with the family. They were absolutely wonderful and really added to a pleasant experience.“
“I recently visited Fat Pat's and was impressed by the exceptional quality of the food and service. However, I was disappointed by the subpar tap water, which left a lingering aftertaste. While the initial taste of water may seem minor, it sets the tone for the entire dining experience. Considering 96% of customers typically order water first, investing in a water filtration system would significantly enhance the overall ambiance. Despite this, the service and food were outstanding, warranting three stars for atmosphere. I encourage Fat Pat's to consider upgrading their water quality to elevate the dining experience to the next level.“
“Food was excellent. We have always ordered and gone through the drive thru. We did not know they had seating inside. Really nice decor on the inside. Service was very good. The lady is always nice.Pork stew and roast beef. Very good plate lunches.“
