“There is not one negative thing that I can say about this place. The restaurant is absolutely adorable. When you walk in, you instantaneously have a smile on your face. The menu is displayed in such a chic , creative way. The menu is full and amazing. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The prices still blow me away. You can not go anywhere that I know of and get the amount of food for the price as you can here. The employees are so kind and personable. I am addicted to their lemonade, and their bengiets , in my opinion, are better than Cafe Du Monde. Keep up the amazing job, Redstraw.“

“I recently had the soup & salad-you choose your soup & your salad! The Famous turkey special is really good! I get it on a pita. It has sprouts on it, which I’ve never had bf, but loved it! Their sensation salad dressing is really good as well. They also sell it by the bottle. The Magnolia chicken sandwich is a favorite too. The bleusy chicken salad is wonderful, if you like blue cheese.“

“The Island Landing has the BEST fried shrimp that I have ever eaten, and I have dined nation wide. Louisiana gulf shrimp are the best, so let's narrow it down to the state; trust me when I tell you that you won't experience better fried shrimp anywhere. It's not a fancy place, however the service was prompt, polite and friendly. If you ever find yourself in False River, don't miss the opportunity to experience the best fried shrimp on Earth!“

“It was like taking a step back in time. I am confident that I was at Buche's 55 summers ago enjoying a burger and fries and I was there today without Rod Serling in Twilight Zone enjoying the same. The floors, walls and ceiling are still the same. Same pictures are hanging depicting a simpler time. Mrs. Buche wasn't tending bar or flipping burgers and Mr.Willie was not in his rocker in the corner behind the bar, but I nodded hello anyway. It was a great deal then and the food is still a bargain - comparing quality and quantity versus price. The visit brought back old memories of good times and good friends.“

“Very affordable. The camp ground has 9(?) camping spaces right on the bank of the False River lake. Only $125.00 a week or, $400 a month. If you do not have a camper with a bathroom it will be a bit rough. The existing bathroom is unkept and has no hot water.There is a pretty nice restaraunt w/ about a 30 foot long bar. Basket of fried shrimp & catfish w/ french fries is $8.50. Domestic bottles of beer are $3.00, imports are $3.50. Pretty good. Mostly an older crowd of locals. A pool table and 3 digital gambling machines.“

“Blake made the experience amazing. We showed up with 15 motorcycles and the female Bartender turned us away. She said they didn’t have room for us. Then Blake came in and saved the day. He set us up tables, gave us air conditioning and served us personally. Thank you so much. Hopefully you can find staff that have your level of customer service!!!“
