“Early morning breakfast before my wife and kids woke up. I was impressed they were open so early, but didn't expect much at five in the morning. I couldn't have been more wrong. Walked in to a well lit dining area and was told I could sit where I wanted. Perfect because I hate being sat too close to other diners. Not that there were many there, two large groups of local men enjoying coffee and the latest gossip. Nice atmosphere, I could see myself being one of those guys when I hit the twilight years. A waitress approached with a menu and water in hand, asking what did like to drink after a cheerful "good morning!" A young blonde with a pleasant persona and a welcoming vibe about her. I ordered coffee and she said she'd be back in a few minutes. When she made her way back to my table I was ready to order but I had trouble pronouncing "atchafalya". She caught on to that (or my accent tipped her off ) and she asked "You're not from around here, are ya?" I chuckled a little and she went to give my ticket to the cooks. Wasn't long before my food was sitting right in front of me and damn did it smell and look amazing. Two of the uniquely Cajun Benedicts with a large chunk of alligator sausage on each side. I dug in. Thick fluffy biscuits sat atop crispy and perfectly tart fried green tomatoes which in turn were adorned with two perfectly poached eggs smothered in a homemade creole sauce filled the plate. I didn't know what to expect other than the unexpected. My gut instinct proved to be right as I took my first bite of this swamp born delicacy. Finished it quicker than it took to get to me. And the sausage? Cooked to perfection with an expertly browned outside and a hot, juicy, tender center. The best breakfast I had while visiting the Bayou State. Would definitely revisit if I'm ever in the area; might even drive out of my way to do so.“

“I didn't eat here, except for free spaghetti cooked as a tail gate meal. I'm not sure if the person that cooked it was an owner or just a loyal patron. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The drinks were a bit on the higher end, but for the crowd draw, acceptable. The bar had plenty of room indoors and out, with a full bar at each. The atmosphere was festive and friendly, and the view on the creek was great. I highly recommend a stop in.Parking: There is a wide open gravel lot here. I left my vehicle over night and did not retrieve it until the next day. I had no issues. It's a mixed lot for the bar and the boat ramp.“

It comes with ham, turkey, beef and other fixings. We also ordered the shrimp platter, fried pickles, cheese sticks, homemade brownies and pecan bread pudding. “I prefer going here for lunch. The people that run it then seem to have better people skills. My father and I went there around 630pm no one was in line at all. We sat at the counter for about 10 minutes before someone called in an order and then someone walked in after the phone call for a to go order. After she helped him and took the phone order she decided to take our order. The people at lunch focus on the customers at the register and in the dining room first in a first come first serve kind of thing.Either way the food was pretty good. French fries and onion rings were to die for, especially with malt vinegar on the fries! I got the 12 inch pepper steak with no green peppers (just jalapeños) with pepper jack cheese. Brought home half the sandwich and half the small order of fries. The sweet tea was awesome!Highly recommend this place! Maybe the people running it tonight weren't feeling to good, at least the cook was on point. Go here it is incredible!Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp“
