Our group received Five Star Treatment all across the board. If you are looking for a place where kids of all ages can come and just be kids this is it. The attentive staff made sure we were welcome in every space. Adults there is something for you as well. The food is delicious and made to order. “This was my first trip to J. Alexander's, but it will not be my last. I ordered the red beans and rice as the soup of the day and was pleasantly surprised by the portion I received. I was expecting a small cup and received a sizable bowl. It was perfectly cooked and excellently seasoned. It had just th right amount of kick and the flavors blended perfectly. I had the Cypress Salad as my entree with grilled chicken. The salad greens were crisp. The chicken was flawless, as were the condiments. This meal paired very well with Yuzu Mule I ordered. I highly recommend that drink if you'd like a refreshing take on the traditional Moscow Mule.
The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, dinner with friends or in my case, a travel meal while on a business trip. I can't wait to try the one where I live to see if the experience and business are consistent.“

“Even better than the picture. We stopped for lunch and was blown away. Tender and lightly crispy chicken fried steak seasoned perfect. Mashed potatoes and gravy were also good. I thought they said green beans -yeah, that will do. I was excited when I seen they were field peas- the best I've ever had. Field peas are my fave and now mine are the 2nd best I've ever had. 😉 Compliments to all the hands that went to work on this meal. And a big thank you to the friendly staff that got my order together. Y'all killing it at George's.“

“Outstanding in all aspects! We got to town a little late & stopped in just for a lite bite & drinks. The oysters, black and blue tips & wine were so wonderful we returned after business the next night to try more. Round 2 included the Feta Whipped Brussels, Creole French dip & Duck + Butter beans.
