“This is one of my favorite restaurants. "Restaurant" is not the right word. "Experience" would be more accurate. I'll start with food. On the menu there is a pumpkin crawfish bisque that when I initially saw that combo I turned my nose up at it but decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did - unlike anything I've ever had! I'm always so torn. Trying to decide what to get. For a first time, or I would have to insist on the eggplant Napoleon. It's piled high with so much lump crab meat. I don't know how they offer it for the price it is. But the pork chop with the sweet potato, mash and brussels sprouts... OMG! The service is always great! You're given a basket of breads and biscuits for the table with a couple of butter options. The butter with the Steen's syrup is my favorite. on our last visit, we were celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl was surprised with an array of sweets. But as I said, this is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. Plan extra time before your reservation or after so that you can view the gorgeous grounds! From the house to the gardens to the fountains to the covered archway, you're going to need at least an extra hour for exploring .“
“Overall it was great. I highly recommend making this a regular thing, not just a great meal, but the experience of an incredible garden and grounds that nothing else can beat. The Turtle bar is a must, they have most every type of high end alcohol that exists. The only improvement needed is the wait staff. There's enough staff, they are simply inexperienced and young. Overall, still worth the experience.“
“I love this place! I go about 2-5 times a month. Great food, great service, and friendly atmosphere! Food is seasoned well and some of the best ice cream and sweet tea! My favorite days to go is on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The buffet runs about $15 an adult.“
“If you like the sports bar field you'll feel right at home here. I will say I'm a dad of two daughters and some of the outfits that look restaurant inspired seem a little short. Then I don't have a problem with it because I'm well mannered my mom beat that into me just kidding. It was my dad. As I was told young ladies are not playthings. You wouldn't be here without one remember that. If you don't I will teach you the hard way. Not kidding that's exactly what I was told by my father. "Respect women without you would not be." Yes you have to think about it just a tiny bit. Without you would not be. This might be a little harsh sounding but I don't hold back. I have no reason to. And if I'm called out about it find something to hold on to ?Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible even the electric ones that are like 300 pounds I know cuz we had one with us.“
“Omg!!! I am so freakin happy my friend and I stumbled into this daiquiri bar. We came in just looking to get a daiquiri and something to eat after leaving the Rock the Country Festival this weekend. Let me tell you! Woo woo! My hamburger was the BEST burger I have ever eaten! I thought Raul's in Gonzales was probably my favorite but Top Notch says it all! I love the way their fries where cut and cut to perfection. Wish I'd known I could upgrade to the Top Notch Fries for $3 bc my bestie had those and we both can't wait to go back! The top notch fries were puuuurfect! Just the exact right amount of each ingredient. We definitely will be back! Just a question?? Is Top Notch Daquiris & Top Notch Seafood owned by the same people??? I think im addicted! Chill atmosphere, great food, and friendly service ! The bartender, stocky guy with the beard (didn't get his name), was great! Keeping us informed of how much longer our food would be and had a great suggestion for a substitution of a daiquiri they did not have. I actually liked it better!TOP NOTCH IS TOP!! No kidding!“
“I wouldn't have never noticed this place if it wasn't for someone recommending it to me and I am so thankful they did. We were in town for a trip and stopped by and it was so comfortable and warm. The art was beautiful and they even have a little library inside. I plan on coming back many times to try more of the menu but the shrimp quesadillas and tomato and basil soup was delicious! I also tried their watermelon tea. It was delicious (warning for their flavored tea they use unsweet tea so just ask for it sweet) The quesadilla had shrimp, onions, bell peppers, cheese, and this sauce that was just delicious. The soup also came with this red tortilla (I think) that was cut into strips. We also got side fries that were so yummy. When we were done we placed a second order to bring some home. I honestly can't sing their praises enough!“
“I was craving a good Philly Cheesesteak without having to travel too far and my boyfriend took me here. The employee greeted us and I told her that it was my first time being there.I had to get a Philly Cheesesteak despite the other options. I wished I chose onion rings because I love that a bit more. When I took a bit of the sandwich, I felt happy! The bread they use taste so soft and delicious. I know there are different types of bread you can choose to make a sandwich, but the right ingredients makes the perfect meal! The fries were hot, fresh, and seasoned. I was a happy customer. I need to try their Signature Phillys on the next visit!“
“I’ve heard of this place a lot, but I’ve never gone. I decided to call in an order for a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Service was quick and maybe that’s because it was a little bit after lunchtime. The food was absolutely delicious, (although the fries were not that hot). Nevertheless, they were still seasoned well and crunchy. The burger is big and one of the best I’ve had..juicy and thick. I would DEFINITELY go again.Porking is limited as far as designated spots, but the lot is big enough for you to park in areas that are not marked by lines.Wheelchair accessible and friendly staff. Since I did not eat there, I can’t in fairness comment on anything related to dine-in services.“
“This is the only soul food establishment in Ascension Parish (Louisiana), to my knowledge. The food is great, especially the lasagna, and the customer service is awesome. I definitely recommend that you check this place out if you’re looking for a home cooked meal.“
“Just driving through pulled up the search for good Roast beef Po'boy, they also have a big selection of Chinese foods. I got a sm chicken fried rice, very good. The sandwich, eh, not as good as I remember them when I lived in Metairie. The juice was good. But the meat didn't have that deep roast beef being cooked down. I ate it, but looks like I'll have to make another trip on day.“
“Caleb that was working the first window on Sunday, Feb 4th was a sweet kid. He was patient with me while I was having bank issues during a lunch rush. He definitely deserves a bit of praise & appreciation for that!! Food was hot & fresh as always.“
“A surprisingly good "fast food" experience. The fried shrimp and catfish are on par with way more expensive seafood restaurants. Service and pricing are very good. The roast beef debris poboy is excellent and the very Louisiana bread pudding bites are a sweet treat.“
“Food used to be better, it's not bad now, just used to be better. I would not normally say anything. However, it is an unfortunate trend. I used to live in Prairieville but moved last October. Service was great even with a shortage of wait staff, so possibly inexperienced kitchen staff.“
“We went to Latils Landing during their winter menu. The food was absolutely one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. And that's saying something as I have been all over the world eating great food. The grouper with wild mushrooms was positively sublime. The lobster and sweet potato bisque with truffle oil was a surprising hit. The use of warm water lobster rather than cold water lobster was inspired. The sweet potato needed no additional sweetness and the lobster added a nice texture to the bisque. The waigu beef rib was positively succulent and tender in a way only properly prepared waigu can be. And the balance of salt, spices, and acids was perfect. I will return when the spring menu starts. I'm curious if the chef can keep this level of gustatory performance up.“
