“The lady in the front with the piercings is very sweet and pretty. The food is excellent and the service is great. Potato salad sucks. It's like mashed potatoes with mustard. I wish the owner would allow myself to show him a fire recipe for potato salad. I guarantee many people would return for it, and it alone.
I love to help him with that. No money, no nothing. Just help him out. If he responds to this, I might give him a small sample to see his business flourish . Then, give him the key to the recipe.“

“I have no idea where to even start.
From the time I walked in until the time I left, I was treated like a family member. Everyone was so extremely polite and made me feel like I was at their home and I was the main guest.
The cove was so positive and the place was gorgeous with that old style music diner look. I love places like that.
Now let's talk food!
I've been a chef and world traveler for over 36 years, and one of my very favorite foods is soul food. As I spoke to these beautiful ladies sitting next to me from Luling, nothing hits home better than soul food, it hits the heart before it finds the stomach. I order fried chicken wings, mac n cheese and BBQ beans.
Crazy combo yes, but I enjoy.mixinf it up.
The chicken was batter so perfect and it was crunchy and that flavor just is a mama's secret, the Mac n cheese OH MY GOODNESS! I can't believe I actually left 3 bites behind, I was so very full, but I really could eat it every single day, it was AMAZING!
The baked beans, I tried very hard to figure the secret ingredient in out, and I just couldn't but DAMN my eyes about popped out of my head every single bite it was so damn good!
I can't wait to go back on my next trip to LaPlace.
This people is made from the soul of the heart and you will be sitting at their table eating home made food while you watch TV and enjoy a place you will soon call home. I promise you, one bite and your soul will start jumping with excitement at Mama's Kitchen!
