Cozy comfort food right across from the courthouse. I’d been here before when it had another name. We had the Monday lunch buffet and it didn’t disappoint. Red beans and rice was on-point! The fried chicken was juicy, seasoned perfectly and all-around just right. The cornbread is amazing and so were the green beans. 1. Fantastic food - where else are you going to find ox tails and chicken this good in such glutinous portions ? .. nowhere
2. Friendly staff - they mingled with my 3 year toddler effortlessly...because, yes, it is kids friendly
3. Clean bathrooms - the epitome of a successful venture.
I hope they keep this gem in Opelousas. It deserves it.
