“I’m on the PTO for a large school here in Pineville. We celebrated teacher appreciation today with a camping theme lunch that featured poboys. The po boys was a complete hit. AB and the rest of the staff there were a pleasure to deal with even when I called last minute to add a vegetable poboy to my order. They even sent plates and Napkins with our order they went above and beyond for us. I can’t thank them enough for helping us show the staff how appreciated they are.“

“Got the Philly, it's delicious. I can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu. Prices are insane, and the portions are huge. Keep it up! Nice folks running this place!“

“Walk-On’s Alexandria is my favorite restaurant in the area. Whether you are hungry for a salad, appetizer, dessert, entree, or all of the above, Walk-On’s has the best variety and most delicious food! Personal favorites: spinach & artichoke dip, lemon butter chicken, ribeye po-boy (extra garlic aoli), and chocolate chip cookie sundae. This review would not be complete without a shout-out to my favorite, friendly servers and managers: Kip, Chris, Maddie C and Jacob S - ALWAYS attentive, efficient, and kind! Keep making dining out a great experience!“

“We stopped in for lunch today, and the special was meatloaf. It was to die for! All the sides looked wonderful, and between the two of us, hubby and I sampled the mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, green beans, Mac and cheese, mustard greens, and yams. Everything was just like our mamas cooked it. Friendly dining area, and you just cannot go wrong with a stopover when you're in town. Love it!“

“As if I didn’t already love this place enough but we ordered a tray for a Mardi Gras ball but accidentally called it in to the wrong location. Ms.Maria said “we got it no problem”. Her and the guys in the back had it ready in less than 10 minutes. She was so sweet and accommodating. We still made it to party on time. Thanks Maria and crew!“

“I used to be a huge fan of Rosie Jo's. But now after eating their Cajun Nachos, I'm a full blown air conditioner! Best nachos I've ever had. Great portion size. Really balanced flavors. I'm very happy with my lunch today ❤“

“Food was really good, could use a touch of something special. Not sure what to say other than the food is solid but could be a tiny bit better depending on each persons taste. Staff was nice but didn’t seem like they wanted to be there at all. Biggest upset is the atmosphere and typical guests that they attract. This place is cheaper, so you will get a few people that come from lower income background which is fine but when I can see moldy feet sticking out of your sandals in the middle of a place where people eat, I have a problem with that. The restaurant isn’t at fault for their guests but realize that the atmosphere is nothing fancy at all which makes some people feel a little too at home here.“

“I never leave five star reviews because no place is perfect. But this place is the exception. I don't know the chefs, but they cook food that ruins every other restaurants' food. I've eaten in many states and five countries, but this place is my favorite. The staff (shout out to Chris, Megan, Lauren, Kristen, Treyvon, and the rest) are mind-blowing in how far they go. By now, I've eaten most things on the menu, except the salad, and each was absolutely delicious. I have been back and will be back again.“

“Consistently delivering freshness, this place stands out with top-notch service. The crown jewel on their menu is undoubtedly the salmon - a dish that defines excellence in Central Louisiana."“

“Was there on Columbus Day (2024) coming back from Southern LA. The broasted chicken is AMAZING! My bride keeps asking if we can make the 130 mile drive to go back for dinner.“

“I can NOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS about the Mother’s Day buffet. My family enjoyed the phenomenal Easter buffet and looked forward to the Mother’s Day; let me say, we were impressed once again. So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Oh and don’t forget the homemade tartar sauce! 4. …… and the perfectly cooked Prime Rib! with the amazing horseradish sauce to complement … definitely a show stopper 5. The ambiance…. The service as always great …..Which seems to be part of the family atmosphere….. and the soft jazz …..taking it from just dining with family to Mother’s Day memories“

“Ms. Rachel was our waitress and cocktail provider. She was so friendly. The hummus she recommended for our starter really kicked off the meal. Her drinks were delicious and refreshing. Her cucumber Gin and Tonic was a sparkling surprise that went really well with my perfectly barely seared Tuna steak with grilled pineapple and jasmine rice with a wasabi honey sauce that could have been drunk. My honey got a steak that was cooked just how we like it: RARE. YUM! NOT TOO SALTY. I hate a good piece of meat that is ruined by over salting. I loved the layout of the outside eating area with all of the flowers and the super groovy music. They had Townes Van Zandt, Merle Haggard, and Tyler Childers playing over the speakers. It is by far the best dining experience I've had in a long time. I usually end up regretting going out and wish I had just cooked at home instead of wasting my money on restaurant food. They get a 100% approval rating for atmosphere, taste, and service! Who knew such a gem was waiting on an out of the blue Louisiana adventure!?“

“1 of my favorite places to eat dinner at!
I love their Oriental chicken salad and their wine ton tacos!
Their spinach and artichoke dip is excellent!
Their queso dip and chips is good too!
Very friendly staff too
Me, my folks, our relatives and our friends come here
I highly recommend this place to anyone!“
“I had an “enjoyable” time here in 2012 for “WLC” Some of the instructors were racist. But that’s to be expected. It’s the army. The females barracks were definitely haunted. But instead they treated us as if we were insane. Food at the chow hall was mediocre. But we were glad to sit with others and talk even if it was briefly. They used to have inmates working in the chow hall and all around the grounds. They wore white jumpsuits. That was a bit weird. Glad I was only there for 2 weeks. What made it memorable were my battle buddies. Not an ideal place, but at least we got interesting memories!“

“Im still going to give a 5 star because the Pitt has been my #1 breakfast/3am spot for 20 years but you almost can't even eat between 7am-10am since they zone away with the window blinds. Not at the window tables for sure. Hope they fix this soon, im sure its affecting tips too.“
“This has to be one of the most authentic restaurant’s I have ever been to. If you want gourmet food at a affordable price look no further. I was blown away by the world class customer service and professionalism from the entire staff! Thank you Super Al’s, you have won my loyalty to your stellar brand!“
