“I grew up in Roseland and ate the Malt Shop often. It has always remained the same quality and tastes the same I drive from my home nearly 20 mins away for it! I love it and I love the employees! Never had a bad experience in my 25 years of goin there. Highly recommend if your lookin for a old fashioned lunch. Their hours are short so you only have a lunch and very early dinner time window. I think from 11-5ish. If it could improve I'd say maybe stay open untill 7 so folks could get a good burger for dinner since most I know eat dinner round 7 or 8pm. Great joint! ?”

“A diamond in the rough! Our first time here was a pleasant surprise. Found this place by chance via Google Reviews. My family and I loved the hospitality. The staff explained how the food is prepared fresh and not out of a can - everything is homemade! My favorite dishes were the lasagna and the yams. Just needed a biscuit to sop up my plate. Definitely making plans to come back! ????”

“Second time I come. First time they had some very delicious pork rind taquitos. This second time they didn't have them. They explained to me that sometimes they have them on Fridays. But I arrived in the morning and the very kind person in charge told him that they should have egg breakfast taquitos with whatever, and he didn't even think about it. He told me, let me ask the cook if she can make them for you, and she told me. What do you want them for? I replied. Egg with chorizo. And they were delicious. I hope they put a breakfast menu in the future and I recommend this place 100%.”

“AMAZING!!! The food is hot, fresh, delicious, and portion sizes are RIDICULOUS!!! I ordered an 8" shrimp poboy, and couldn't see the bread under all the shrimp. Could only eat 1/2 the bun and less than half of the shrimp. The onion rings are thin and crispy, not greasy at all. Had to get a go box. Prices were very good. Will definitely be back!”

“Miss Ann's makes the best fried chicken. They even have chicken liver, cooked fresh to order. Mashed potatoes and gravy are my favorite sides. Yummy. The chicken is always hot and fresh. It's not really an eat-in restaurant, but there are a couple of tables if you want to eat there.”

“This place has been in existance for as long as I can remember. Even though I believe it has gone through a change in ownership over the decades, it still maintains the same friendly family owned atmosphere I remember. Great burgers, homemade shoestring onion rings that are amazing, and prices that are close to fast food chains with quality that far exceeds them. Even though I checked the $10-$20 per person price range, it falls into the $11 to $12 category for food, side, and a drink.”

“We visited the Amite Oyster Festival on St. Patty’s Day weekend and it was lit. ? Lots of people, food, fun and good music. ? I ha a delicious frozen drink called Crazy Horse from Boston Market and the sushi and Seared Tuna salad looked amazing. We had my dad’s 80th birthday celebration here as well in the private space. It was very nice and accommodating”

“I must say the customer service is amazing the lady at the counter is so sweet! So I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and because I just had my teeth pulled I couldn’t eat the chicken unfortunately so I went to go order something else without thinking about asking for a refund or anything and she asked what was wrong I told her i had my money out ready to buy some nuggets and she said that she would give me a refund and I said no thankyou and she offered to replace the food so I agreed but only if she didn’t mind and she said not at all! So she said something about giving me the meal again and I said I had gotten my fry’s already and she said she would give me another order for free!! I couldn’t help but to think oh my goodness best customer service I’ve had in a very long time. Very wonderful business and the food is always delicious!! She’s running a proper drive up restaurant. “Very very sweet.Very professional. I’ll never forget the time I visited with Mrs. Mo and she let me try all kinds of things and treated me like family. I thought she had stopped doing sweets for a minute but, I will have to pay her a visit. Her ooey gooey cakes and coffee cakes are the best. She has a talent and her husband was just as sweet. You can tell your friends, of course I believe in Perkatory because I have been there. And the coffee was pretty good there....Vegetarian options: Its coffee, sodas, cookies and pastries. I am not sure if anything non vegan is served.Kid-friendliness: On the grounds of St Helena Catholic Church.Wheelchair accessibility: I think the Eucharist Walk provides flat access to Perkatory.”
