The food was absolutely amazing. The gumbo was the best that I've had in awhile. The fried okra was delicious and so were the turnip greens. The pecan pie was delicious. We will be back the next time we come here.
Sam's Southern Eatery on 70th street, across from Goodwill, offers amazing food like Philly cheesesteak, fried green tomatoes, and the Philly Chicken Cheese sandwich that will leave you miserably full but craving more. The friendly staff, especially the lady at the cash register, provides top-tier customer service, committing orders to memory and ensuring a quick and efficient service. The food is seasoned right, with very nice portions and fresh ingredients, better than any chain food. The Philly Chicken Cheese sandwich comes with grilled onions and bell peppers, a soft bun, and perfectly seasoned chicken, big enough for two. While the atmosphere is more like a fast-food restaurant, the delicious food and welcoming service make it a must-visit spot for a satisfying Southern meal.
