Waffle House. A tried and true favorite. Had an incredible meal thanks to Billy the chef, and I am so sorry but the napkin my two favorite waitresses showed me was used so I lost your names! The food was incredible, we got to talking and found out our birthdays were one day apart. Amazing experience cutting up while waiting for my food to finish up. My very first visit to a waffle house. It is ongoing joke with my friends. I gave in and was so happy I did. The waitress Dezzi was sweet and funny and very attentive. Was not mad at the bacon cheeseburger either. Everything was awesome and can't beat the price.
I've been eating here for years. Has a mostly blue collar / older clientele. You'll see the occasional dead bug on the floor and window sill being used as a cigarette holder. But more often than not, the table isn't sticky and you'll get great food with great service. At 2am, there won't be fighting rings, beer bowling, or drag racing in the parking lot, but it'll still have that 2am otherworldly Waffle House vibe to it.
