Hot Tails Reviews
I received a cup of “gumbo” that literally had 1 shaving of a shrimp tail, that was it! So a lot of money for a cup of gravy and an ice cream scoop of hard rice. The onion rings were so hot my husband couldn’t eat them both were thrown away. Loved the New Roads location but will not go back to this one.
Just attempted to eat the worse oyster poboy in my life. Tow bites in, threw it in the garbage. Good thing I ordered salad or it would have been a hungry night
Staff no where near as friendly and helpful as the old New Roads location that we went to regularly. The food wasn't nearly as good either, I hate soggy fried seafood. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired also. I hope the new location in New Roads opens soon won't be going back to the Zachary location.

Hot Tails in Zachary is a popular spot with friendly staff and delicious food. The "special sauce" is amazing, and the Shotgun Shrimp are a must-try! The restaurant offers plenty of vegetarian options and is kid-friendly. While the menu isn't very large, the dishes they serve, like the Blackenzola burger and Crabcake sandwich, are fantastic. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and quick service. Many appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and good customer service from friendly, patient staff. The parking in the back is available if the front lot is full. The food is often described as wonderful and flavorful, with some noting the dishes can be a little salty or peppery, but still enjoyable. The restaurant also looks appealing, and customers look forward to trying brunch and mimosas in the future. Overall, Hot Tails is worth the drive for tasty food and a cozy, comfortable setting.
