“Food was phenomenal. Prices were excellent.
The solo waitress was a beast… she did a fantastic job. The seating situation is far from ideal, but I love that they are working with what they got in the best way. Definitely a comfort type restaurant.

We ordered shrimp dumplings - Crispy Shumai (see photo) - excellent.
Chicken Tatsuta- original (photo) - cooked perfectly, moist.
And Yaki Don (photo) - great meat /rice ratio!

This place is worth a wait. We lucked out and didn’t have a wait, but I can see a wait happening frequently. I will be happy to wait next time I’m in the neighborhood!“

“First time here, and it was a hit. All the food we had was great, and the service was great too. I just finished my leftover pork chop, and even after microwaving it, it was awesome and I nearly gnawed on the bone. The scotch bonnet pepper hot sauce was a great addition too. Drink menu was good and my wife said her eggplant salad (though not really called a salad??) was literally the best salad she has ever had.“

“saw this restaurant and it's james beard nominee chef on phantom gourmet, so when i drove up from the Cape to see my Uncle we decided to check it out… i grew up in the neighborhood so was neat to see the old hood! this place used to be a bakery, and has been transformed into a hip counter service option for breakfast/lunch, etc....sparkling clean, friendly counterperson, was my first impression...there is a nice window facing counter with stools to sit at and enjoy your selections...we both ordered the fish congee and i got the rice noodles with hoisin sauce and my uncle ordered the rice noodles with curry fish balls, and we ordered green tea...all the dishes were so yummy! i'm talking deliciousness every bite. i worked in chinatown for 17 years so im familiar with most of the dishes, its a good varied menu of the staples and the unexpected ...the congee was an appetizing and creative presentation with nuts and different colorful toppings for added flavor and esthetics ...had such a delicate fish flavor....we plan to return soon...want to try the french toast and also the rice with salt and pepper chicken...the bao selections look tempting as well! busy area but we found hancock street parking and saw spots on Billings Rd as well...highly recommend.“

“Hands down my fav burger on the northeast by far my favorite place to play in Boston as a musician- Sean and Manny are kind, helpful, professional, and set the bar so high for how establishments should be run especially with live music. Every business in Boston should have take note of how they do it and how they treat people. Top tier.“

To say she was a woman of many hats would be an accurate statement. The wine was spectacular, and the food was second to none, specifically the eggplant. “Jackson’s Kitchen has been a go to spot for us for years. I love that we can get a salmon dinner with rice pilaf and veggies or an awesome sub or burger. The diverse menu has something for everyone! Don’t miss out on the meatballs or fish tacos either. I end up getting a few dishes- too many good choices.“

“Finished playing basketball and want to have something healthy. Then went to Iris and ordered Cobb salad. It is good with chicken, bacon and salad, they also add avocado with it. Even though it looks like a fast food restaurant, but the food itself is definitely not fast food and worth a try. I will try other kind of food in the future.“
