Food was exceptionally good! Had just gotten of a cruise ship and the food there was better than even the food on the ship! Now due to football season it was really loud and quite rowdy. We asked the waiter if we could get it to go and they were so accommodating! Ended up eating it in the hotel. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere was similar to a Cracker Barrel which reminded me of home. If we come back to Boston we will be going back! Hunter's Kitchen and Bar offers phenomenal food and top-tier service. The brunch options are a great mix of breakfast and lunch, with fresh, hot, and tasty dishes. The cozy vibe adds to the experience. The cocktails are executed perfectly, and the attentive waitstaff ensures a pleasant dining experience. The menu features southern comfort food, making it a charming spot. Dishes like gumbo are highly praised—rich, flavorful, and comparable to those in New Orleans. The small restaurant can be busy, especially during weekends, but weekdays offer easier seating. The entertainment is amazing, with live bands rocking! The skillet-cooked cornbread with corn inside and honey butter on top is delicious. The chicken sandwich with fries and a side of greens is very tasty, and the greens are spicy but flavorful. Fried chicken with greens and coleslaw, as well as chicken and dumplings, are also available. Food is 10/10! Everything is good! The biggest issue is that it can be SO LOUD, making it hard to understand others at times. Parking remains a challenge, so a ride is recommended if possible. Overall, it’s a fun and flavorful place to enjoy southern comfort food with great live entertainment and friendly service.
