“Just had a bridal brunch here and it was amazing. The chicken and waffles were delish, the eggs were perfect and the potatoes were to die for.. Drinks were fantastic-I had the 2twenty2 highly recommend it.. If you ever need a place to hold an event this is your place. Anthony was very accommodating with everything we needed. The waiter and bartenders were great and fast at getting everyone’s drinks. Thanks again for a great turnout, I will definitely be back and will spread the word of what a great place this is..“
“We went to the Afro beats night and had a blast. The DJ was awesome, our waitress with the beautiful red hair was such a sweetheart and very helpful. Those chicken wings and plantains were so good and fresh! The people there were also a vibe no drama just a good time. My only criticism is the bathroom plumbing issues. I think it's worth the investment to have them fixed.“

“If you've never tried Family Affair, do yourself a favor and try it soon! The food is always delicious, I always make sure to order a chicken and waffles (and make sure to ask about the specials because their creativity for their waffles is through the roof!). Throw in some other classic comforts like pulled pork, or creative twists like steak and cheese egg rolls, and you'll find there really is something for everyone! I've had the privilege of using them as a catering service, going in with friends for a bite to eat, or grabbing take out and each and every time the service was above and beyond. Their friendly and caring staff and owners really live up to the "Family" name.“
“The best comfort food restaurant in the Somerville/Tufts area. I’ve been there twice now and each time the portions are amazing for the price, food is excellently seasoned, and nothing was over/under cooked. I have tried the hot wings, fried okra, jerk Mac and cheese, jerk cheese fries, French fries, and chicken tenders. All were amazing and the best side of French fries in Boston by a significant margin. We went there for a birthday and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We hope to go back many more times. Ended up rating this as my top pick on Beli.“

“Tried out The Porch last night and was so pleasantly surprised! There was a live band playing so the ambiance was great. They had run out of hush puppies so we got the honey butter biscuits instead and they were great. We got a brisket tray and a rib tray, each came with 2 sides, and split everything. There was not a single disappointment in the bunch, everything was amazing! I thought Smoke Shop was my favorite bbq in Boston but The Porch just took its spot. Can't wait to come back!“
“I had the pleasure to finally check this place out since I was nearby. The place is easy to find, plenty of parking on any side streets. The woman who took my order was nice and very busy. She got my order correct and I received my takeout fast. I ordered the meatloaf dinner and I was amazed by the portions. My side order of mashed potatoes were basic and so was the collard greens. I did get cornbread with my meal and that was also basic as well. I will return again but I will not go out of my way there anytime soon“
“Get the biscuits. Don't think; just get them. Thank me later. You get four per order and each one takes two bites. They're out of this world! I could eat them all day. I also got gumbo. I'm from the South, Gulf Coast, so I know my gumbo. Chef knows what he's doing. The roux is dark and velvety, with the right amount of spice. You can get full on a cup. Shrimp are enormous, and crab is so tender. Lots of yummy okra and peppers (I wish those were chopped smaller). The cocktails are delicious too. This is a neighborhood bar/restaurant you'll want to come back to time and time again. Eat everything. Also, Haley is ab awesome bartender! Super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the things.“
