I promise it’s not what it used to be, too many people pass this place without giving it a shot, it’s an absolute GEM! I’m a local, I’m 21, and I’m a young guy, apparently according to the locals this place was such a dive back then. I could not be more happy to learn that it’s not what it used to be at all! SOARES HAS BEEN THE BEST DECISION I HAVE MADE FOR MY GRANDAUGHTERS, I See great changes, and my grandaughters are thriving thanks to Soarse and it's positive team. The children feel like they care, and I personally feel like they are an A+ martial arts school, good price, accommodating, and a in it to win it attitude. My family loves them

Below is my first review. This is my second because
I now have 2 grandchildren at soarse. My youngest one, I thought, was not ready because i didn't think she would pay attention and quite honestly thought she would jump around, etc.
This year, I decided to give her a chance, especially since i saw my eldest doing so well with herself, control her discipline, and overall ddesireto achieve her belts which are earned , ot just given.
I signed up my youngest and right away she has taken the instruction well she was shown how to properly close her first and i have noticed every single time she does a more with a punch she has her hand correctly positioned and she is taking it seriously but at the same time enjoys it. We are thrilled.

Soares gets 5 stars . My grandchild has steadily progressed her self control is amazing. She has came so far with her training. from Lance to the other instructors and even the front desk , hey all are so good to the children and to the parents as well. I always feel welcomed there. I really like how Lance will sit with the children and tell them these little stories , and each one has a lesson to be learned. self-respect and tolerance to name a couple. their staff work so well when training the kids they pay attention to each one and when someone needs a little help they are right there kindly and calmly coaching them through. 5 stars for a 5 star business“

“This is officially our new favorite brunch spot! Food and service are truly amazing! Scott was our server this past weekend, and he made us feel like we’d been coming here for years. We got the zucchini fritter Benedict, a Belgium waffle with fresh berries and a breakfast burrito with sausage, home fries and fresh pico de gallo. The menu had a nice selection of Benedicts - We can’t wait to go back and try them all! The zucchini fritter and crispy prosciutto complimented each other perfectly, and inspired us to crisp up our own prosciutto. What a creative twist on an old classic! The waffle had the perfect amount of sweetness and the variety of fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries) was a nice addition that gave it a little tartness. They added roasted red peppers to the breakfast burrito which really made it stand out, and we loved the fresh pico! The restaurant also has a full bar and lots of specialty brunch drinks. There is high-top seating at the bar area, as well as tables throughout the restaurant. We did not have to wait this past Sunday when we arrived at noon, but we were told it does get busy on the weekends, so there could be wait times. Prices were reasonable, which is rare nowadays, and the portions were generous. The quality and creativity of the dishes absolutely blew us away. This place is truly special! “My girlfriend and moved to the area recently about 2 months ago we love to come to Ansel's cafe at least once every 2 weeks sometimes once a week the food is absolutely amazing the service is impeccable and the drinks are outstanding there is no better place I would rather spend my money and feel fully satisfied going home and may I add the garden is amazing“

“Popped in for lunch on a weekday. Clean and well decorated interior. Bar had a bit of a crowd but the dining area was empty. This had us surprised when our food took nearly 50 minutes to make it to our table as it was grilled cheese sandwiches. Very happy with the food and the waitress was great but had to knock a star because of the long wait“

I usually just go in and have a couple beers at the bar with an appetizer. last night I had lemon garlic chicken tenders there was nothing lemon or garlic about them. I was very disappointed the chicken tenders were drowning in what tasted like a panko herb crust. I actually asked the bartender for slices of lemon to get the lemon taste and get rid of that panko yuckyness. I'll stick to the French onion soup I had that last time and it was fantastic.“

I was told I would have to leave if my dog barks again (only barked once because he got excited about food and being in a new place). Just my opinion, but if you list yourself as a dog friendly place then you should expect not all dogs are just going to sit still and not bark or move around a bit. Dogs aren’t made to just sit still. I would love to come back as long as they don’t complain about me bringing my dog.“

My Mom passed about 3 weeks earlier and we wanted to hold a celebration of life. We settled on Cask & Pig for the amazing food & atmosphere. The event was this past Sunday and we planned for about 40 people however, over 70 people attended. Cask & Pig didn't faulter though, and provided enough food/drinks as well as seating for all who joined us. The food was outstanding (as usual), the staff kept the tables clear & everyone commented on what a beautiful venue we had chosen. I can not thank Mario, Elaine and the entire staff for making Mom's celebration the perfect day that it was! I hate to mention price but I have to touch upon the reasonable cost too!! If you are looking for a venue for any type of event, contact Cask & Pig!! You will not be disappointed!“

“Beautiful night in New Bedford. Three of my friends and myself wandered down towards the cobblestone district. A street concert was going on. My friends and I went to Rose Alley. Rose Alley of course no longer has the roses but it also does not need to cover the pungent smell of whale oil. This New Bedford mainstay was not packed. The gang grabbed seats on the outdoor patio. We could hear the live music from a few blocks over. Our server was Chloe, who was very great! She wrote down our order. My friend had very specific requirements for his burger. Anyways I had a house salad with shrimp and 1 dozen garlic herb dry rub chicken wings. The salad was...drumroll...a salad. Lots of lettuce...very fresh, diced tomatoes were really good...again it was a salad....had six nice grilled shrimp.

But the wings were amazing. Little crisp. Very meaty. Dipped into chunky blue cheese dressing. I mean the only fault was the celery....but drumroll...fake stick salad :)....

The wings are hands down an A. My friends had the boneless. They had sweet chili for one order and Mozambique for the other. One had fries. One had fried pickles. Both gave their chicken tenders A plus. The fried pickles came with no dipping sauce was the only criticism by one of them. My other friend refused to give me a review and stated people should just come there. He must of like it because he was first done. Overall for 4 people with $103.00 tip $128.00. Chloe, the server did a great job by being detail oriented, by being available when needed, and just really friendly. The atmosphere allowed for conversations, not overly crowded...

I give Rose Alley at 7-8:15 = A+.
