“Food was very good: we had the fish and chips and fish sandwich. Waitstaff was pressured hard on Friday night, but did a great job.
Inside was pretty loud, but we sat outside, which was great. Quite a few domestic macro beers on tap along with a couple of IPAs.
Solid local neighborhood vibe.“

“We stopped in here for lunch. Since it was a nice day we sat on their patio, which is a really pleasant space. We decided to split a burger and fries. The burger was good, the fries were nice and hot. Our server was pleasant and took good care of us.“

“Last night, my husband and I ate here for the first time. We both had the chicken dinner, served with mashed potatoes, grilled butternut squash & a cranberry chutney. WOW!! What an amazing meal. We both agreed that it was the best meal that we have ever had in a restaurant. We loved the candlelit ambiance, the pleasant wait staff & the out of this world fabulous food. We will definitely be coming back.“

“One of my favorite places to visit with family and friends. Always a great meal and the best margaritas in town ! The service is excellent and everyone is so friendly . From homemade chips and salsa to the awesome guacamole so much of the menu is made to order with the freshest ingredients . The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable so come on over and enjoy yourself at Desperados !“

“Unfortunately, after stopping by Saturday April 9 2026, it appears this wonderful restaurant is no longer serving lunch and dinner to the general public on a walk-in basis. They have transformed to a 90% catering only facility with the exception of their Sunday brunch (according to their website)
You know a good thing when you find it. This was excellent! From the service to the quality of the food. Add an amazing landscape overlooking a quiet lake on a sunny day, that's a total win. We had the Delmonico steaks and they were cooked perfectly, tender and seasoned lightly with salt and pepper. the steaks were served with fresh creamy mashed potatoes and topped with lite and crispy onion straws. The side of carrots and green beans tasted super fresh not from a bag of frozen veggies. What a nice surprise.

Also the venue space looked wonderful, kind of peaked in the window and I would say it looks like a nice place to have an event.

“The Log is my favorite place to go in Williamstown. The owner is wonderful, the staff is friendly, the food is good, the beer selection is excellent and the atmosphere is fantastic! They have a great fireplace in the winter and a lovely deck in the summer. I highly recommend!“
