I’ve had some truly amazing cold coffees in New York City, and I’m thrilled to see Boston catching up. Lumi’s Vietnamese egg coffee is one of the best in the city. I used to visit Weekend Cafe for brunch, but now I can skip the coffee and head straight to Lumi!
I love, LOVE a good OG bánh mì, and this place did not disappoint! They really stuffed it with cold cuts, they definitely weren’t cheap with the meats or veggies! I especially loved their pâté and mayo, and the veggies were super fresh and crunchy. 🥖🤪
I also ordered the spring rolls, and they were super fresh too! Great food, great portions, and great customer service. I’ll definitely be back!

Lumi Roll and Bowl is a restaurant in Boston that serves Vietnamese food. The Vietnamese egg coffee is one of the best in the city, and the pandan cream coffee is also surprisingly good, better than most Vietnamese coffee. The OG bánh mì is stuffed with cold cuts, pâté, mayo, and super fresh and crunchy veggies. The Traditional bánh mì has savory sausage, fresh veggies, and a crispy-yet-soft baguette with a perfect balance. The roast pork banh mi is a favorite. The spring rolls are super fresh. The food is great with great portions, and the customer service is great. The shop is small and in a food court inside the new Novo Marketplace, with quick service and a simple place to sit down. It is a very sweet family run shop. The banh mi is under $10 with amazing cold cuts, butter-mayo sauce, pate, flaky and flavorful but fluffy bread, and just the right balanced pickled veggies. It tastes super authentic and flavorful down to the last bite, like Vietnam. A pro tip is to order it as a special/mixed meat (dac biet) with the traditional cold cuts and another meat like grilled pork.
