“Stopped in for lunch. First time there. The waitress had such nice dark hair and eyes. I had a coffee and ordered an egg salad sandwich on whole wheat. It took a while, but it was delicious -- I had the impression that they had made the egg salad to order. I was feeling great about it. Got the bill, and was disturbed by its being higher than expected. Asked the waitress, and she pointed to a little line on the page opposite the lunch menu that indicated a one-dollar surcharge for whole wheat bread. The price would have still been reasonable if they'd just marked it clearly, but this felt like an underhanded trick. Still, I'd go back, even if with a certain trepidation after writing this review!“

Every staff that works here has incredible knowledge and confidence in what they do and the food / drinks backs it up entirely . Everything was hot and delicious. They have a great selection of your standard pizza shop varieties, but also offer some interesting and unusual offerings. I highly recommend the 'Don't be an Ah-so'! I will definitely be ordering from The Corner Market again!“

“Upon walking in the waitress/hostess was turning on the tv. No acknowledgement, I asked can we sit anywhere. She seemed shy, thus not very personable. Our drinks were lukewarm warm (had to ask for ice for $5.00 each drinks). The saving grace is the the food is seasoned great, the atmosphere wasn’t bad, but the tv is definitely too loud for couples or families to have conversation/ listen to the waitress who speaks low as is.“

The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very attentive and the building itself is gorgeous.I've been to the restaurant a few times and some of the food I've ordered was the Spicy Caesar Salad, the hummus, the spinach and artichoke dip and the creme brulee. All of the meals were not only delicious but it's clear that CPH uses fresh ingredients. I typically order salads at restaurants and you usually expect a few damper pieces of lettuce, but the Caesar is always fresh and crunchy, the dressing well distributed, a perfect amount of parmesan and fun spicy kick to make the dish unique. Definitely my go to meal!The apps are also fantastic. The pita bread is great for dipping and has a wonderful texture. They also go great with both the hummus and artichoke dips. Both these dips are well seasoned, have a great consistency and honestly their hummus is some of the best I've ever had.Lastly the creme brulee is always lovely, great consistency and the burnt sugar on the top is always such a fun treat!Regarding drinks, CPH has a great selection of alcohol. The cans of ciders and beers they have stocked are from a great selection of local breweries, Jacks Abby, Downeast and Night Shift to name a few. And then there's the mixed drinks! They have a fun selection of cocktails. I absolutely love the brown sugar old fashioned. It's definitely one of my favorites.The staff is also phenomenal. All of their waiters and waitresses are attentive and always have a kind attitude. They're great about checking in when you need things.The kitchen crew is very talented and always keeping up the quality of their dishes while still getting food out at a fast pace. They really nail down the recipes even while changing out the menu every few weeks. It creates a fun enviornment for patrons because there's always something new and fun to try, but still always made with the same phenomenal quality.It's also nice to see how active the manager is on site. He's always running food to tables, checking in with guests and even running take out orders. It really speaks to the quality of the staff running the building.And speaking of the building, it's beautifully designed and well constructed! The bar is absolutely gorgeous and the seating is very comfortable. Eating next to the large windows brings in a lot of natural light which adds a nice aesthetic to your dining experience. The kitchen even has a window you can watch through to see the kitchen staff hard at work as they make your food.I would highly recommend Central Public House, between the fantastic food, amazing staff and just an absolutely fun atmosphere. You won't regret spending an evening here.“

“My wife and I was visiting from Springfield, MA and stumbled upon this place looking for real food - not fast food. We read some bad reviews from years ago about the place, but wanted to see for ourselves because we know that sometimes people will complain about anything: I mean being salty about the paper menus? Really? If you can read from them, then they are fine.
Anyway, the service was fine even with a crowd, and the food was great with huge portions. I usually don't carry cash, but I'll make sure I have some on my next visit.

My all time favorite is their flagship sandwich, “The Commonwealth.” Piled high with freshly pulled pork, some pieces bigger than others, some with the delicious bark that defines great smoked pork. I love the optional cranberry habanero sauce on the side. Considering the sandwich has over a pound of pulled pork, plus a side ( I traditionally get fries, my wife likes the creamy Mac and cheese), not a bad deal for under $13 with tax.“
