The lamb burger was excellent. Went in for a quick bite and our waiter was kind enough to split our shared meal - the lamb burger and fries with truffle - on two plates and maintained the presentation and quality of the food. But the real winner of the night were the two homemade cookies we took home. My only complaint of the evening was the back corner of the restaurant we were seated in was a little too dark for my liking. Overall though, a solid place for dinner.

It started well. But then they started trying to clear plates quite quickly that had food on it, which then made the experience anything other than enjoyable. It felt like we were being forced to inhale our food rather than enjoy it and have a relaxed evening out. It really took away from the experience unfortunately and we couldn't figure out what the rush was all about given how many empty tables there were by the time we were finishing up. It wasn't fun to have to manage the servers and say multiple times that we aren't done when we clearly have a bunch of food left on the plate and are still ordering drinks. (We ordered a bunch of starters, appetizer and mains). While our mains were still on the table they brought over a dessert menu. We left not understanding why they wouldn't focus on the customers who had a reservation and were eating and drinking but more focused on the non-existent next customer. For four people who aren't able to get out that often and who traveled over 30 minutes to come to the restaurant and enjoy a nice evening out it was a perplexing and unfortunately offensive way to run the service especially for it's price point.

Food was amazing! The artichoke dip was very tasty and had a sense of chewing chicken. While I'm generally not fond of goat cheese due to its strong flavor, their Basque cheese was delightful, with just a hint of the characteristic goat smell that I found tolerable. However, their basque cheese was delicious with only a little flavour of the goat smell, which was tolerable for me. Moving on to the lamb rib, I particularly enjoyed the combination of the red cabbage and the tangy sauce drizzled over it. The meat itself was tender and easy to cut, making for a satisfying dish overall. The waiter was very nice no complaints on that either.Regarding the bill, I don't have any complaints about the food, but I found the 4% administration fee added to the total bill alongside the tip a bit puzzling. It feels like an additional tax on top of federal and state taxes. While I understand the need to cover costs, it might have been simpler to adjust the selling price instead of introducing this additional fee at the end. I suspect they're trying to convey that the price hasn't been increased by tacking on extra fees, but it's something to keep in mind when settling the bill, as this 4% also factors into the overall tip percentage paid.I couldn’t find the reply option so I’ll just comment on here. I’m not from Boston but for a person who lived in Canada for some time, tipping is a norm which I get it. But adding some additional fee like this means that the kitchen staff was kept being underpaid. This adm fee is like a band-aid way of using customers’ money to pay for their underpaid staff. During the pandemic, the Quebec gov was compensating 4-8% more to health workers in private and public sector to cover those gaps. Hopefully, the gov here would do something with the minimum wage so people wouldn’t just rely on those surcharges to cover the cost.

We always have a wonderful time at Black Lamb. Meal was amazing! Joseph is terrific and only enhances the experience . Kids menu is great and not your standard menu of beige foods. All good there!

We went for Brunch and was pleasantly surprised how awesome it is! Started off with perfect made latte and a warm moist banana bread! Had a sumptuous Egg Sandwich! And my best friend had their Greek Breakfast - the rectangular potato side with tzatziki was very good! We also ordered a Belgian Waffle and I really love how it accompanied a slightly sweet citrusy topping! Loved it!! We also had the best server, Ethan!! We were well taken care of!! Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend it!!

Black lamb is easily one of my favorite spots in Boston. The space feels like fried chicken smells, the food tastes like bacon looks, the space smells like hamburgers. Love it here—always and forever. my dream sensory overload <3

We went for lunch recently, and after having two sandwiches and two hot teas we were charged $72. Turns out they took it upon themselves to add a 30% tip PLUS a 4% kitchen appreciation fee. We brought it to their attention and they said they would change the tip amount (with no explanation of why they charged that much without permission in the first place). We have a receipt but I'm still waiting for the credit to post to my card.

Tasty neo-American fare, some unique things, some nicely executed standards. Beer selection is limited.

Waitress was great but the Manager was oddly confrontational and unprofessional. Seems to take his day out on his customers if things aren’t going well in the restaurant. Not trying to be hyperbolic, but this was easily the most uncomfortable meal I have ever had in Boston - all because of the manager. Overhead him being extremely rude to multiple tables including ours. Grow up - Do better.

Oysters and cocktails — what better way to start a Monday?Black lamb certainly knew how to craft a delicious menu! While the servers weren’t the most welcoming the atmosphere and food made up for it!

Had a meal here that was perfect from start to finish: oysters, an incredible kale salad with poached pears and crispy farro, and lamb ribs. Service was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

This place had amazing food and something for everyone. Perfect place for foodies who have friends who aren't as adventurous. The salmon crudo was delicious, ate it so fast I didn't get a picture. Great drinks too!

We had Sunday brunch at Black Lamb. We were greeted warmly and led to a high top table, which was very comfortable and fun for the tall boys in my group. The hostess and our server teamed up to make sure that we had enough attention. The food was absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend the biscuits and gravy highly enough. It was a special that I truly hope they make a regular item. The service, the ambience, the food—all get an A+! We will definitely be back!
