Very upscale and expensive. Best selection of whiskeys. Good beer selections. Big bar area and small dining seating. All booths. Very good food. Staff are great. Looking for a special place, try it, you won't be disappointed. Will be back next trip to Boston.

Average. Cute inside. Got the oysters, shrimp, and focaccia. Focaccia was good but missing something (I have a a dairy allergy so the butter was a no go). Then I went with the steak frites and mushrooms for my entree. It was fine. The fries were the best part but they were too thin. I almost wanted the steak to be a sandwich with the focaccia bread and add peppers. I ordered the strawberry fields mocktail and i asked to get a different type of mocktail and my friend wanted to see the drink menu. They just gave us the same drink we ordered last time which I thought was weird. But overall. Pretty average.

They could learn a thing or two about hospitality. We got take out and my entree had melted plastic container on my steak. I went back to the restaurant and they did not apologize it nor give me any kind of status update after they went to the kitchen. When I asked for a time update, the server just said they’re making it. They gave me the new food and said nothing. I will not be returning.

I've been coming to Citizens for years, it's my favorite bar in Boston! We love all of the bartenders, especially our girl Kate! I do think the menu fell off hard since the reopen. It used to be hard to decide what to get between the gnocchi, risotto, sliders, etc. that were all amazing. Now I find myself having a hard time deciding what to eat because the new menu has been meh. The gnocchi tastes good, but $19 for three little logs of pasta was disappointing. I get trying to elevate your menu, but please at least bring back the late night sliders for Red Sox season!

We loved the Citizen before they underwent renos, and continue to love it after its reopen! The new cocktails are amazing. We loved the new bacon-wrapped dates starter and burger. Service, as always, is exceptional!

The food was excellent, the cocktails and whisky perfect, and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff was of the highest caliber. Thank you to all of you for such an incredible evening.
