great food clean n friendly staff
Delicious 🤤 Food I love this place
I noticed the server didn't have her braids tied up and as she's serving the food her braids are all over the place, which is unsanitary and nasty. On top of being on her cellphone and messing up one of the orders after repeating it numerous times. I patronize this establishment often and have never experience or witnessed this before.

Flames has been a beloved institution for decades, serving up mouth-watering dishes like oxtail, salt fish and okra, and shrimp and cabbage. This particular Flames, located in the Dorchester, Roxbury line (Grove Hall) area, is known for its amazing food that reminds customers of home. The beef and chicken melt in the mouth, and the patties have a spicy, flaky crust. The cabbage is perfectly cooked with a lovely crunch. The staff are friendly and provide good customer service, though they may seem more relaxed than the average. The atmosphere is lively, with chefs singing and grooving to the music. However, the venue can get pretty hot in the summer, and there are suggestions for improvement, such as replacing leaky styrofoam containers with sealable plastic ones. Despite some minor service issues, the food is consistently delicious, and the restaurant remains a go-to spot for many, making it worth a visit.
