THIS IS A MUST TRY. One of my top 3 favorite comfort food spots. Murl's Kitchen is located in Dorchester,MA. A 20 mile drive from home that I never regret. My favorites are the jerk mac & cheese, regular mac & cheese, jerk chicken, plantains, beef patties, stewed chicken, rice & even their mixed veggies are a big hit. So happy I found this place! I'm in Cambridge but will definitely be driving in once a month to grab dinner here. Place is clean. Just left with the oxtail mac and cheese and veggie patty. Couldn't finish the Mac so now I have lunch for tomorrow but it was good. ?

I order takeout from Murl's when I want a balanced meal with Carribean flavors. The jerk chicken is seasoned beautifully, and they scoop extra of the sauce into the container when I order a plate so I can douse my rice in the deliciousness. The oxtail is always fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful. The veggies are always seasoned perfectly, and cooked so that they still have a bite to them (never mushy)!
