About JP Roti Shop

JP Roti Shop, run by Mrs. Marguerite and her family, is a popular restaurant in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Known for their delicious Trinidadian and Tobagonian cuisine, the shop started from humble beginnings in the family's kitchen and back shed, eventually finding a home in the neighborhood. The Roti, Bus up shot, and other dishes are highly praised for their authentic flavors. The limited hours often result in a crowd, so it's best to visit without rushing. The process of ordering from one person and paying another may seem unusual, but it helps keep the service flowing. The staff works diligently to provide quick, friendly service. The clean food preparation area adds to the overall positive dining experience. Particularly, their Doubles are highly recommended, being some of the best in Boston. Many customers appreciate the flavorful veggie roti and doubles, which are vegan. The roti is freshly made and has perfect texture and flavor, with options to get it with bone-in chicken, shrimp, or other choices. Though prices have increased over the years, the dishes are considered worth the cost. Parking is available in a small lot and on the street, making it accessible. With consistent quality and a dedicated following, JP Roti Shop has earned its reputation as one of the best spots for authentic Caribbean food in the area.

This place is absolutely amazing. It’s a must have food destination. Great food great five great family.

Love it . Moved to Florida but when I come to Boston that is the first place I go to. Being following them for over 30 years

Great place for doubles!
Too bad we only ordered 2 of them. They are quite filling but I would've eaten more out of greed!
The doubles were well prepared and well seasoned. Very affordable.
No frills, counter service. If I come back to Boston, I will be back for sure.
Highly recommend.
