My wife and I came up from Alabama to Boston, and we decided to stop by for some Italian. Jim was a fantastic host, and we discussed the pitfalls of nearly 3000 restaurants in Boston since COVID. We talked of the importance of mom and pop places like his, and I talked about the damage of using GrubHub and DoorDash who charge restaurants exorbitant fees. This was the first place we ate after arriving in Boston and the last place we ate before flying out. Food and service were amazing both times. Dine in for first visit was Fruitti di Mare, Haddock Margarita with potatoes, and BBQ chicken pizza all of which were fabulous. The owner was very welcoming. The best pizza in Boston if not the entire US!!! The marinara sauce is simmered in house for 4 hours and is topped with whole milk mozzarella and is cooked on a light & crispy crust. This pizza is real deal Italian that you simply can’t miss while visiting East Boston.
