I came here based on a recommendation, but I was pretty disappointed with the selection for the price. The salad bar was completely bare, and the only thing cold available was kheer, and none of the dishes were restocked the entire time I was there. What I did try tasted okay, but there just wasn’t much to choose from. For the cost, I expected a better variety and fresher options.

The food is simply exceptional! Every dish is unique and has an authenticity about the food is fresh very large portions and supports both sharing in conversation. We absolutely loved our experience at Mela restaurant.

I went to Mela Modern Indian Cuisine in Boston with three of my friends and we had an amazing time. The Chicken Tikka Masala was rich and flavorful, the Butter Chicken was creamy and perfectly cooked, the Lamb Curry was hearty, and the Lamb Korma with lamb chops was simply outstanding.

Their vegetarian and vegan options were equally impressive, with plenty of gluten free choices. We especially loved the Tofu Coco Masala which was creamy and full of flavor, and the Tadka Daal which was comforting and perfectly spiced. There are so many great dishes for every preference.

The drinks were just as great. The Mela Gin and Tonic was refreshing, the Anarkali and Tamarind Margarita were unique and tasty, and the Mango Lassi and Pistachio Shake were smooth and delicious. We also enjoyed Taj Mahal beer, Kingfisher, and a fun Hypnotic Cosmo.

The waiters were very friendly, responsive, and fast which made the whole experience even better. The food, drinks, and service together made it a perfect night. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Boston 🍗🍸🍹💯 😘

Arrived early on a Thursday night and we were greeted warmly and immediately seated. Service was friendly and fast, food is delicious, fresh and generous. We try to come here when we visit our son in college. It's consistently great and in a charming neighborhood, easy and pretty walk from the back bay.

Really enjoyed my experience at Mela. The food was tasty and the fresh, the service was welcoming. A great place if you're looking for quality Indian cuisine in Boston.

Our favorite restaurant experience during our Boston visit! Friendly and attentive staff and excellent food and great wine! My wife and I are completely plant-based, and it was no problem finding excellent options. We had a vegetarian dinner for two. Lovely. Would highly recommend. Already have.

All you can eat option with affordable price. As an eco conscious person, one huge thing Mela wants me to come back is that they use real cutleries not single used spoons, tissue, cups and bowls if you dine in compared to other all you can eat buffet resturants. Keep up the good works Mela.

Met some friends here for the weekend lunch buffet, and we all enjoyed it! I have a dairy allergy, so they walked me through the buffet to let me know my options. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. It was a good deal too!

Horrible food for prices that they keep increasing every single week. staff is rude and wants to take your plate every five minutes even if you’re not done eating the service takes forever and the food becomes rock hard and is not fresh. does not do justice to Indian food

Ordered a food delivery at work and the quality was very bad.
The curry seemed like made from frozen stuff , potatoes were stale.
