About Paku Katsuya

Paku Katsuya is a cozy restaurant that offers delicious Japanese-style food with a modern, minimal decor. The menu features a variety of katsu dishes, including the popular Katsu set, which comes with sides like miso soup, rice, sesame seeds, sea salt, and wasabi. The portions are generous and well-presented, making it a satisfying meal. Customers appreciate the crispy and juicy katsu, especially the pork, cheese, and shrimp options, and often find the sides refillable, adding good value. The restaurant also offers other dishes like spicy tonkatsu ramen and cheese katsu, which are highly praised for their flavors. The drinks, including fresh lemonade and passion fruit lemon tea, complement the meals well. Service at Paku Katsuya is often described as exceptional, with staff frequently checking on guests and providing helpful tips on how to enjoy the food, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Although the prices are on the steeper side, the quality, generous portions, and attentive service make it worth visiting. The restaurant’s clean and pretty setting, along with Japanese music in the background, enhances the dining experience. While some reviews mention wishing for additional options like Japanese curry sauce, overall, Paku Katsuya is praised as a great place for satisfying katsu and good vibes, especially for those craving flavorful, crispy dishes. It’s a recommended spot for anyone near Boston Common looking for tasty Japanese comfort food.

Delicious food and very kind service! Even though I'm sure my chopstick skills were hideous they treated me kindly like anyone would treat a guest in their own home. Will definitely be recommending to my friends and family!!
Incredible experience. The Tonkatsu, shrimp and cheese are amazing. Definitely worth the visit.
We order the tonkatsu set with pork, cheese, and shrimp tonkatsu. It includes a small miso soup, rice and cabbage salad. The service is excellent and the place is cozy and pretty with japanese music in the background.
The tonkatsu set was enough to share between 2 people.
