I loved the staff and atmosphere, but damn near $6 for a breakfast sandwich with one slice of bacon???? Seems unfair to the hungry customer who overpaid for a sandwich hoping to get more food. Please at least give customers two

I'm a regular at Ripple and usually have a great experience there until today. When I walked in the cashier- Kayla greeting me and told me she could take my order at the front, I said okay. I put my belongings down first so that I could set up for a meeting that I had in a few mins. About 3 mins later Kayla comes by and sternly says to me again, I can take your order up front. At this point, I started feeling a bit uncomfortable because I could tell she was rushing me and didn't want me to sit down until I ordered. I then went up to the register and told her that I plan on ordering I just wanted to get settled first. She tells me that they don't like customers sitting down before ordering... While I understand the point of this this is a bit inconsiderate to customers. I wasn't even there for 5 minutes before I was pressured to order something. I frequent cafes around Boston all of the time and I have never had anyone tell me I can't put my belongings down before ordering. I tried bringing up my concern to the manager but she was resist to talking so unfortunately I'm left leaving this negative review here. I felt so uncomfortable at that point that I just left.SN: Mika is another cashier there and she is usually AMAZING. I've never had any issues with her. She's always been friendly and always gives me great recs on the the menu. Her music playlist always brings the perfect vibes to the spot.

My daughter (5 years old) LOVES their chicken patties; she likes to come here during the weekends for them. And I love their veggie patties! This cafe brings the friendly neighborhood-cafe vibe into the Kendall area, which Kendall Square needs pretty badly as far as I'm concerned. They also make a perfect matcha latte--just the way I like it.Kid-friendliness: Yes. My kid and I sat on the couch and played tic-tac-toe one Saturday while she enjoyed her chicken pattie.

This cafe is cute, affordable, and nearby. We have ordered pickup from them many times when in a rush. The front of house staff has also generally been pretty nice, though sometimes understaffed and stressed. The problem is that literally every time we order takeout (we use Toast or similar) our sandwich orders are very incorrect. We don't do anything crazy or off menu, just choose from the options that they list with checkboxes. I don't understand how I can be consistently getting food that is so different from what was ordered.I want to give this place a higher rating, but getting sausage sandwiches when you order egg, cheese, avocado is unpleasant. I hate sausage. We'll keep trying because we really like the idea of this place and want it to succeed. But I wish that their processes for tracking order prep were a bit more locked down.

Such a cute place BUT probably one of the worst pistachio muffins ever! Tasted so gross and artificial.

Ripple Cafe is all about the vibes. The beautiful natural decor and R&B music transport you to a different world and instantly puts you in a good mood. It's an oasis among the Ashmont area and features a black women owned business. The coffee is solid here. The cappuccino was smooth and nicely balanced. The almond croissant was nice as well especially when warmed up. I didn't get a chance to work out of here but it's on the louder side so not ideal for calls. I think you are also limited to 60 min of wifi as well but if you are an Xfinity internet customer, you can use their hot spot here.

I've never had a grilled cheese that wasn't grilled/toasted and the cheese wasn't melted. I also received undercooked hash browns. The muffin was nothing special. I did enjoy the coffee but it was $7.59 for a medium sized iced latte, so not worth it. I won't be back

Such a cute cafe!! I stopped in to get breakfast, and ordered a bacon egg and cheese (with chipotle mayo!) and an iced mocha latte. Both were DELICIOUS! I've had my fair share of iced mochas in my day, and this one is up there for the best. The staff were kind and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

This place is great! Good coffee, even better people. They explained multiple menu items to me and made sure I had the WiFi password as I had my backpack with me. 5 stars anywhere you can give them!
