Monica's Trattoria Reviews
Cute Italian restaurant. The music did NOT match and was very distracting; 90s hip hop played the entire time we dined. Best espresso martini! I will definitely go back for that.
The food was just wonderful. The ravioli was so good. Had it with some diavolo and meatballs on the side. Delicious.
Me & my boyfriend walked into a fairly empty restaurant before heading to the airport. Nicole was starkly unwelcoming when she greeted us and brought us to a table. We never saw a smile or politeness. We didn’t get the complimentary bread every other table received and everything we asked for (ordering items) felt like a burden. Monica's Trattoria offers a wonderful dining experience with a friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service. Recently, there have been many positive changes, including more space for guests to enjoy the incredible food. The frutti di mare, a classic dish, is still praised for its perfect execution, featuring a simple red sauce and an abundance of mussels, little necks, and shrimp. The ravioli, made with fresh homemade pasta, are still described as "pillows of cheese," and the carbonara continues to be noted for its great flavor. Customers often enjoy the high-quality Italian cuisine, with some stating it is the "best food of the trip."
The food remains consistently excellent, with many praising the flavor. Some guests have noted the pasta can be a little thick. The service is noted to be excellent, with attentive staff who are sweet without being overbearing. Positive feedback mentions the new open kitchen, where fresh pasta is prepared. However, there have been concerns about the noise from dishes clanking, with the atmosphere sometimes feeling cramped and loud, making it hard to hear at the table. While some guests have expressed issues with long wait times for their food, overall, Monica's Trattoria is still a favorite spot for authentic and exceptional Italian dining. Feedback suggests that addressing service details could further enhance the experience, but many are eager to return, enjoying dishes like Scampi Con Fettuccine and pesto fucilli, and appreciating the setting for both families and date nights.
