“When my uncle passed away, he left clear instructions that he did NOT want a traditional memorial service. He wanted his friends to get together and have beers. Joe and the other owners COULD NOT have been more accommodating. They helped every step of the way through this challenging time. They are incredible people, and I could not be happier with how the event turned out. I will be a lifelong supporter of Distraction, as will every single person who attended that evening. “Castle Island Brewing is one of the busiest and amazing brewery. The beer collection is amazing specially the IPAs. They do have food and they had one of the best spicy wings in town for sure. It was filled with college kids and it took a while to find seating, but mostly you share table with others.“

“Definitely worth checking out if you’re at Marina Bay or in the area. Aside from being a prime location, this is one of the only places in Boston that is dog friendly! You can bring your own food, order from the shops nearby or support vendors at BRB. Their tap list rotates often so there is always something new to try. Additionally, they always have different events going on and varying vendors at the brewery. The vibes here are unmatched, especially for the area ( Q can be a bit sleepy). We need more places like BRB in Quincy.“

“We had a wonderful time at Barrell Z House this past Saturday. Our bartender, dressed in Germany garb for Oktoberfest, was so friendly and helpful. We had our little dog Ella with us and was made to feel welcome. Our bartender even brought us a fresh bowl of water for her. We got some delicious sirloin sliders for us and doggie biscuits with PB for Ella from the food truck. My husband and I enjoyed the IPA. We tasted two different types, one more fruity and aroma, the other more hoppy. We’re hop heads and both agreed that the more hoppy one was our fav! They have a nice, shady outdoor area with Adirondack chairs, a great space to soak up the beer and sunshine these early fall days.“

“Good beer, good times and good friends“

“Visited on 4/15/25 around 2:30 PM. The staff working this day were very friendly and patient as we figured out what beer we wanted to try. They offer half pours which allowed us to try multiple varieties and the quality was very good. The brewery had 80's and 90's music playing at a comfortable volume which we enjoyed. Seating inside the taproom was basic picnic tables as we've seen in other breweries. On this day, there weren't a lot of customers so it was somewhat quiet.“

“We love Drawdown! It’s a great (inclusive+safe) community bar that’s walking distance from home. I have loved trying all the different beers, sodas, and the crispy seltzer. There are a solid set of core beers and then fun seasonal beers on rotation (some of the fall beers have been So It Goes - a cozy cinnamon beer and White Girl Wasted a pumpkin ale). I personally loved the orange soda when it was on tap (it gave aperol spritz vibes), but the root beer is also delicious. The staff are all super welcoming and friendly, and there’s an awesome calendar of events (chaotic good bingo nights and retro video game nights as examples). Drawdown highlights women’s sports, but is also a place to catch international soccer games or Ru Paul’s Drag race. Would recommend as a place to stop by if you’re passing through, want to catch a specific game, or if you want to find that neighborhood bar where you’ll feel known.“

“We had the Biria chicken tacos, ordered a 2nd round cuz they were so good! I had a strawberry margarita - was delicious. Vibe was great around 1100 after a concert at the House of Blues. Will def be back !“

“We were looking for a quick place for a bite on our recent trip to Fenway. We stumbled upon this cool, open air place and our expectations were exceeded. Service was friendly and speedy. We ordered a lot of the shared plates. The lamb lollipops, sliders, guacamole, charcuterie and wings. Drinks were great. A Little bit loud, but it exudes a celebratory vibe. A good find when in the area.“
