Moniker Brewery Brewery • $$
432 W Fountain St, Providence - 8.18 miles

“We've stopped in to Moniker a couple of times when in the area. The last visit we brought in some food from a local business. The beers rotate which means if I love one beer, it may not be available the next visit. They offer a 5oz pour which allows one to sample a beer before investing in a full size pour. Order at the counter right inside the door. I go for dark or sour beers while my SO likes an IPA style with lots of hoppy notes. They brew a wide range of styles so most people will be able to find what they enjoy. You can always get a flight if you are just not sure. Check out their website for what is currently on tap or ask for a canned brew of their making. You can purchase canned beer for take away. The interior has one long high top style table and counter along the wall both with backless stool seating. A few tables with metal chairs fit four or more each. There is one big corner banquette seating area near the restrooms that will fit a large group. This is the only comfortable seating in the place and is always occupied, even if by just two humans and their dogs. In any event, in cooler weather, you may need to offer up the empty seats at your table to a stranger. Be friendly. This is a beer hall. In warm weather the garage door wall is open to the breeze. There is plenty of outdoor seating with lots of picnic and regular style, metal tables and chairs. There are several propane heating towers out there and a fire pit area. If you follow them on social media you will know what events are taking place. They often have food trucks parked at the curb as a convenience to guests. Just remember, if there is a spot right out front, that may be for a food truck. They also have a customer discount for food with the burger joint down the road. Both restrooms are clean. Last visit we left just as they were getting very busy. A family with two small kids and a pup arrived looking for a space to fit them all, inside the building and we happily let them know they could have our table. So make note, kids are welcome, just be dressed to sit outdoors during busy times. Cheers!“

“Cheyne and Erika are amazing humans. You can see the passion they poured into the new brewery space on W Fountain. Cheyne makes some amazing beers in a variety of styles. Buttonwoods Brewery Brewery • $
530 Wellington Ave, Cranston - 5.08 miles

“Buttonwoods Brewery was exactly the atmosphere I was hoping it would be for a day of relaxation, good beer and doing some work on my laptop in a relaxing casual vibes atmosphere. My GPS originally took me past the front of the building and I had to turn around and just assume the entrance was located on the backside of my building, which it was. The brewery is in an old mill, the floorboards creaked (which I love) in this industrial setting. Eclectic seating and squishy sofas in large space that didn’t feel cramped. The Peanut Butter Stout and Sour were really delicious! I enjoyed how they offer 6oz pours. I enjoyed this place so much I came back twice two weekends in a row. Parking was plentiful in the back. Staff was friendly.“

Narragansett Brewery Brewery •
271 Tockwotton St, Providence - 8.29 miles

“The Narragansett Beer came into fruition by 6 German immigrants in the 1890s; they combined $100k worth of funds to construct a brick brewing building in Cranston, RI. The beer gained popularity shortly after and it was the number one selling beer in New England. The building in Providence is beautiful with a balcony area. On a warm autumn day, we sat outside and enjoyed some brews. A few of my favorites were:Del's Shandy: reminded me of RI summers. I love the lemon flavor, it's refreshing!Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout: rich flavor that is sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee.Gourd Reaper Pumpkin Ale: tasted like pumpkin and spices; comes with a cinnamon sugar rim glass. This is perfection and tasted like autumn. They have many events and the taproom is spacious. The bar was clean and the beer-tenders are super awesome and friendly. There were plenty of parking spots during the early afternoon. Can't wait to go back soon!“

Long Live Beerworks Brewery • $
40R Sprague St, Providence - 7.56 miles

“I found Live Long Beerworks when I was searching for taprooms in Providence. I wanted to come to a place that was not a brewery restaurant and was a taproom so I could bring my own snacks and be in the environment of a place to lounge. The atmosphere was definitely what I was looking for, spacious with two seating levels to choose from, exposed brick and industrial vibes. I went for variety and had a flight. The sours were pretty good, wasn’t a huge fan of the IPA’s and sadly no stouts were offered as flight samples (can only). There was a food truck outside and a nice seating area. The staff was personable. Parking is on street. I’d go back again to try something on rotation from the menu.“

Providence Brewing Company Brewery • $$
10 Sims Ave Unit 110, Providence - 8.82 miles

“This taproom is one of several venues at the budding Farm Fresh RI Food Hub. It's open in the evenings five days a week and serves about a dozen brews, if I remember correctly.I enjoyed a flight of four that included a Best Coast DIPA, a Pound Town DNEIPA, a Set It Off lager, and a Chuck, Reboot pastry stout - all easily drinkable brews that were good reflections of their respective styles. Service from a female owner or manager was very gracious and welcoming, and although they don't serve their own food, they may have a pop-up vendor on site, or you can order from Tallulah's Taqueria right next door. The venue itself is decked out to resemble a cozy living room inside an otherwise modern, free-form warehouse venue: lower-lying couches and tables mixed with higher-topped tables and a bar counter. A welcome addition to the mix of offerings here at the Food Hub!“

“We stopped here last night for dinner. Love the local breweries that RI is home to. The fact that they serve food is a huge plus for us, and the food was incredible! Ordered the fried pickles to munch on first. These are not your average pickles. No, these are puckle spears and were delish! If you like fish tacos, THIS is the place to come to! BLACKENED fish tacos! Not the flavorless piece of fried fish that most other places are serving. This place is clean, friendly staff and patrons, modern, and a great selection of beers on tap. Mixed drinks, trivia nights, and plenty of seating here. We will definitely be back!“

Tilted Barn Brewery Brewery • $
One Hemsley Pl, Exeter - 10.42 miles

“Very cool spot. Plentiful and delicious beer selection to choose from. It is on a farm so it is nice to grab a beer and sit outside and look around and be outside in the warmer months.Tilted Barn Brewery is somehow able to have a beer for everyone as they have many different types of Ales, IPAs, and Sours to choose from. A little light on the Stouts but that could have been due to the season.“

LineSider Brewing Brewery • $$
1485 S County Trl, East Greenwich - 5.2 miles

“We have been to this brewery multiple times. They always participate in the big LeBREWski. On this occasion we found ourselves in this brewery because we had to bring our cat to the emergency vet that is across the street. After leaving our cat that needed surgery we decided to stop here to enjoy a beer to relax us after a very stressful situation. We ordered our beers and made a comment on what we were going through. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and better. A very nice lady even payed for our beers. On top of all that they gave us each a token for a free round of beers to enjoy when we could come back at a more happy occasion. I would highly recommend this brewery because of their empathy, and the fact they make solid and delicious beers. Cheers. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommended them.“
