“Great overall experience! It’s a la carte so it can get pricey and the sauce bare was not included 🤨 but the broths and meat/seafood selection were great! A great place for large groups and special events but maybe not the best for a casual night out.“

“My wife and I were in from out of town. My wife is Food was so good we went two nights out of the four we were in town. We arrived around 5 and were seated right away. It was packed by 6. First night we had individual pots and the second night we shared. The frog legs were very good! Don't forget to add the sauce and snack option.“

“This was my first visit to Wei Shu Wu Hot Pot, and I’m already planning to return. Located at 47 Billings Road in North Quincy, it’s easy to reach by rideshare or MBTA (North Quincy T Station) and once inside, the space feels modern, spotless, and surprisingly upscale for a hot pot restaurant.
We came as part of a large dining club, and the restaurant offered us a special group deal, which was both generous and smoothly managed. Even with a big party, the service was attentive, efficient, and warm.
The food was beautifully fresh and presented with care. I ordered a wide range of meats, vegetables, tofu, and seafood. At our table, we had three broth choices:
• A classic chicken broth — mild and comforting.
• A mushroom broth — earthy, rich, and deeply flavorful.
• A spicy broth (ordered mild) — still had a fiery kick and lots of depth.
We also tried the shrimp paste, which you squeeze into the pot yourself. I found it interesting but probably wouldn’t order it again personally—though others at the table really enjoyed it. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re curious.
One of the most impressive parts of the experience was the sauce station. It was immaculate and fully stocked, including generous amounts of fresh green onions and cilantro, sesame paste, garlic, vinegar, soy, chili oil, and more. They also had a tray of chicken or duck bones with plenty of meat still on them—available for you to take back to your table and enrich your broth. I’ve never seen that offered so freely before, and it was a fantastic touch.
I also tried two mocktails, and both were excellent:
• The first was like a watermelon smoothie—icy, refreshing, and sweet without being too sugary.
• The second was called “Melon Watermelon” and had a more delicate flavor. I believe it was intended to blend honeydew and watermelon, though it tasted a bit like watermelon with a hint of berries. Light, unique, and beautifully presented—neither drink felt like an afterthought.
And finally—the bathroom deserves its own round of applause. It was spotless and fully stocked with amenities: hand lotion, a hair dryer, Q-tips, cotton balls, paper cups, and mouthwash. It genuinely felt more like a boutique hotel powder room than a restaurant restroom. That kind of thoughtful detail really reflects the care that goes into the entire experience at Wei Shu Wu.
Note: The menu isn’t available online. It’s displayed on an iPad-style tablet at the table. I’ve included photos in this review to help future diners get a sense of what’s available.
Whether you’re a hot pot regular or trying it for the first time, Wei Shu Wu stands out for its freshness, hospitality, and attention to detail. I left full, impressed, and already thinking about my next visit.“

“I stumbled upon here while I was walking around and went in. It can be a bit of a wait, but there’s enough to do in the meantime that it was no problem.
The staff are friendly and hospitable.
There’s a wide selection of food at the buffet and the combos are a good deal.
There’s a 90 minute time limit for the hot pot, which I didn’t know, but it’s enough time to eat and drink and do whatever you need to do and it’s understandable given how busy this place is.
Overall very nice. 👍“

“Not sure why it’s not rated higher for the price and hot pot options. We use to live near Spring Shabu in Allston which is fantastic! Tai Xi’s price for unlimited meat and seafood in conjunction with broth choices are wonderful! We always leave satisfied and the service is fast.“

“This place was fantastic for a party of 13! The food was great, well priced, and the staff were attentive and helpful.
I had a problem with a receipt and had to call the manager of the restaurant. He was extremely helpful and proactive.
Everything about this place was great!“

“This restaurant is mostly good. Ate there on 4th of July and my findings were in agreement with others: small restaurant with good food, reasonably priced but some other customers were loud. Recommend getting there early to avoid waiting. Street parking only - don't park in the nearby small bakery parking lot or you'll get towed.“

“This is one of my favorite Hotspot places to visit. The service is always great. Usually one lady running the whole show but she is efficient and gets the job done. The only thing I wish they had would be appetizers like chicken wings, dumplings or scallion cakes. But other than that its totally worth it to check out“

“This was great food. Everything was obviously fresh and high quality. We ordered from the menu, not hot pot, and all the dishes were cooked exactly perfectly. Even the appetizers were clearly cooked with care. And they have a really extensive menu of hot pot items, plus plenty of other dishes. They really care about making the best food and they succeed.“
