“Great overall experience! It’s a la carte so it can get pricey and the sauce bare was not included 🤨 but the broths and meat/seafood selection were great! A great place for large groups and special events but maybe not the best for a casual night out.“

“Liuyishou Hotpot delivers an amazing dining experience! The broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of spice and aroma. Every ingredient—from the thinly sliced meats to the fresh vegetables—was high quality and beautifully presented.
The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to help with any questions, especially for first-time visitors. They made sure our table had everything we needed throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for authentic and delicious hotpot with top-notch service, Liuyishou is definitely the place to go!“

“This was my first visit to Wei Shu Wu Hot Pot, and I’m already planning to return. Located at 47 Billings Road in North Quincy, it’s easy to reach by rideshare or MBTA (North Quincy T Station) and once inside, the space feels modern, spotless, and surprisingly upscale for a hot pot restaurant.
We came as part of a large dining club, and the restaurant offered us a special group deal, which was both generous and smoothly managed. Even with a big party, the service was attentive, efficient, and warm.
The food was beautifully fresh and presented with care. I ordered a wide range of meats, vegetables, tofu, and seafood. At our table, we had three broth choices:
• A classic chicken broth — mild and comforting.
• A mushroom broth — earthy, rich, and deeply flavorful.
• A spicy broth (ordered mild) — still had a fiery kick and lots of depth.
We also tried the shrimp paste, which you squeeze into the pot yourself. I found it interesting but probably wouldn’t order it again personally—though others at the table really enjoyed it. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re curious.
One of the most impressive parts of the experience was the sauce station. It was immaculate and fully stocked, including generous amounts of fresh green onions and cilantro, sesame paste, garlic, vinegar, soy, chili oil, and more. They also had a tray of chicken or duck bones with plenty of meat still on them—available for you to take back to your table and enrich your broth. I’ve never seen that offered so freely before, and it was a fantastic touch.
I also tried two mocktails, and both were excellent:
• The first was like a watermelon smoothie—icy, refreshing, and sweet without being too sugary.
• The second was called “Melon Watermelon” and had a more delicate flavor. I believe it was intended to blend honeydew and watermelon, though it tasted a bit like watermelon with a hint of berries. Light, unique, and beautifully presented—neither drink felt like an afterthought.
And finally—the bathroom deserves its own round of applause. It was spotless and fully stocked with amenities: hand lotion, a hair dryer, Q-tips, cotton balls, paper cups, and mouthwash. It genuinely felt more like a boutique hotel powder room than a restaurant restroom. That kind of thoughtful detail really reflects the care that goes into the entire experience at Wei Shu Wu.
Note: The menu isn’t available online. It’s displayed on an iPad-style tablet at the table. I’ve included photos in this review to help future diners get a sense of what’s available.
Whether you’re a hot pot regular or trying it for the first time, Wei Shu Wu stands out for its freshness, hospitality, and attention to detail. I left full, impressed, and already thinking about my next visit.“

“Not sure why it’s not rated higher for the price and hot pot options. We use to live near Spring Shabu in Allston which is fantastic! Tai Xi’s price for unlimited meat and seafood in conjunction with broth choices are wonderful! We always leave satisfied and the service is fast.“

“Had a fantastic time at Happy Lamb! The weekend dinner price is $35 per person (including taxes), but it’s more affordable on weekdays and even lower for lunch. Totally worth it for the experience!
The staff is incredible! super attentive, quick, and courteous. They’re always on their toes, making sure everything runs smoothly.
The food options are endless! From fresh meats and seafood to a variety of veggies, noodles, and more, there’s something for everyone. The broth selection is impressive, with plenty of choices for both meat lovers and vegetarians.
It’s an all-you-can-eat experience for 90 minutes, so come hungry!!“

“I drive 40 mins just to come to this place! Their food is always so good and they have such a huge drink selection! The drinks are so refreshing and better than other boba spots I’ve been to except this is a restaurant.“

“This is a great place to go with friends, share a meal and have a great conversation. The beef tongue and octopus appetizers are delicious. Cooking your meal in the hotpot helps encourage conversations. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This restaurant is mostly good. Ate there on 4th of July and my findings were in agreement with others: small restaurant with good food, reasonably priced but some other customers were loud. Recommend getting there early to avoid waiting. Street parking only - don't park in the nearby small bakery parking lot or you'll get towed.“

“I had a great time at hotpot one! Service was perfect and the food was great. I didn’t have to wait long for drinks or meats. I’d definitely come again and I’d give this a five star. To make this place absolutely perfect would be an addition of crab rangoons as an appetizer :)“

“This was great food. Everything was obviously fresh and high quality. We ordered from the menu, not hot pot, and all the dishes were cooked exactly perfectly. Even the appetizers were clearly cooked with care. And they have a really extensive menu of hot pot items, plus plenty of other dishes. They really care about making the best food and they succeed.“
