“The other day I decided to get Fresh Monkee for lunch up in Braintree. I had been to other locations around Massachusetts but nothing compares to this fabulous location. Walking in I was instantly greeted and felt welcome. The process itself was very smooth and simple. As well my smoothie was completed quickly. I believe Sarah was the one who took care of my order. “I love the staff here and I love what they do for the community. I get this is Newbury street, I do.

But the prices here are insane. It's like $12 for a 16ounce. And more ($15) for other drinks at the same size!!!!

I've helped family members setup smoothie shops on Seattle in the past and we usually do $10 for 24ounces at least.

I understand the economy is bad but not every patron on Newbury street has old Boston back bay money.

I think if they decrease prices by a $1.50, they can be supremely successful with more customer traffic.“

“I ordered the waterworks juice which has beet juice and carrot juice, etc. It was fine. Priced about the same as any other juice shop, which is expensive. I also ordered the avocado toast, which was pretty much guacamole spread on toast. I got it on the sourdough bread which was nice and fresh. It tasted fine. Definitely overpriced at eight dollars for a slice of bread with some guacamole on it. Once again, the pricing is aligned with most other shops, but everything cost outrageous prices nowadays. I probably won’t go here again just because who the heck can afford eating out. It just seems everyone price gouges no matter where you go. You’ve got the money to spare. They do make a nice juice.“

“When you enter it’s a very nice vibe with good music, clean environment, window seating and a warm greeting. Healthy food menu options. I Placed an order for two chicken patties, as well as a milk shake. The restaurant also offer other patties like fish, and so on. Note often times if you want a certain quantity of patties you may want to call ahead to place an order as these patties are made there so they may not have what you’re looking for if you do not place an order in advance, or they may have a small quantity less than you would have wanted. The patties happen to be my fav, they are so tasty and pleasing to the eye, however there is a wider variety of food options. The milkshake I ordered was cookie dough and it was beautiful, and tasty, perfect consistency not too thick, not too sweet, just perfect. I think the prices are great for today’s economy or market. I will definitely return. Thank you for your service.“

“I always stop by when I’m in Back Bay station to take an Amtrak, etc. They have great fresh juices packaged to go and wonderful muffins, açaí bowls, avocado toast, empanadas, cookies and other delicious items. Everything is truly delicious and top-notch. The team there doesn’t speak much English, but they are so friendly it doesn’t matter. The only other option in the station is a Dunkin’ Donuts that I heard had major problems with rodents. Check out Jugos. It’s a real find and will become a go to place for you in this area.“

“Mary Chungus loves this place. I love the shakes. Though, the servants are rather peculiar. There used to be such superstars. There was one girl that used to have long, beautiful, and dark hair. Another who was so good at making my shake, i think she had a baby, but i havent seen either of my original girls. All i see is reminiscences of the past. The past that could be the future of powerhouse nutrition. Everytime i go now, my shake is either a 7/10 or just milky water. Bring back the 10/10s. Make powerhouse great again. Also, recent smells of cigarettes are off putting. Though i will keep returning because i love my shakes. As a bodacious gal, its important to get protein gains. They have a roomy downstairs bar that was perfect for hosting my book launch party. They also have an open upstairs dining area with a breathtaking view that is perfect for drinks with friends or intimate dinners for 2. Their appetizers are brilliant: we’ve loved the Brussel sprouts and the Vietnamese Eggrolls. I also really enjoyed the Pappardelle Pasta: the meat was so tender, the pasta was silky and chewy, and the sauce was savory and tangy. My partner had the BBH Bahn Mi and raved over the taste. We love the blended texture and flavors of Esmai’s dishes.“

“Haven’t been here in YEARS, still the gem in Roxbury. This Black owned breakfast spot allows you to pull up and enjoy a home cooked breakfast with affordable and reasonable prices. I would absolutely recommend this spot. The sweet tea was too sweet so they made me half and half which was good!

“The banh mi are all very testy with crispy airy bread and lots filling. I've had them both spicy and not spicy, def go with spicy they just have sliced jalapenos in them but don't nuke your taste buds. I've had noodle soup dishes and vermicelli dishes from here as well and all taste very authentic and delicious. some ppl said this place lacks customer service, I personally think it adds to the restaurant IMO all the experiences I've had in places around Asia its always more about the food than customer service. I do understand how here ppl think they go hand in hand in food service but for a quick authentic delicious bite I highly suggest this place!“
