“I’ve almost tried the whole menu at Halva Kabab and honestly, everything is so good. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality and authenticity in their food. The kebabs are juicy, the sides are delicious, and the desserts are amazing too.

“AMBA has amazing, delicious food with unique and lovely colors, flavors, fragrance and taste. This was the second time I ordered a complete takeout meal; but this time instead of ONE, I ordered TWO whole roasted rotisserie chickens with sides, mezze and sauces. A tall order.
Initially, I was concerned that the roast chickens might be overcooked as it was a takeout meal, but after a discussion with the head of operations, we had the entire meal ready to serve and delivered on time unexpectedly by a fellow employee, W.G.

And as promised and predicted, the meal was delivered in a timely fashion, chickens hot and ready to serve. We can't thank AMBA enough for a stellar meal enjoyed by 9 very discerning diners! This was an occasion where I the host had a chance to talk and not cook... truly priceless.

Quality, quantity, taste - phenomenal...I had the Mediterranean mix which was a great sample of all different tastes. While the restaurant isn’t fancy and the space may not be as clean as some might expect, it’s perfect for a quick, satisfying bite. “I tried your cafe’ for the first time and I was blown away by the taste, quality and price for the amount of food I received. I ordered the Shawarma Chicken Wrap w/tahini sauce, so tasty, the chicken was moist to perfection and I absolutely love the cucumber pickles. “I’m honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through the experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It’s easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair?

For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I’m very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what “real” Beef Rendang is. I don’t even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say “that’s not how my grandmother makes it” (lol).

What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn’t so often omitted). “Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one”.

That definitely applies here with their style of food. There’s a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!“

I've had the swordfish special the last two times and it was really fresh and very flavorful, my father had the lamb shank and he loved it! If you have a food allergy, the chef is very effective in completely omitting that ingredient and is so good in his profession that he is able to whip up a flavorful substitute. It is not always that you find a restaurant that knows how to prepare duck confit properly and if you love lamb shank, look no further.“
