Authentic, genuine family Greek. A Watertown institution for decades.Our first stop in post-Covid since moving back to the area. Demos has come through in fine form, remaining the unpretentious, generous, reliable eatery that it always has been. It’s the best Greek food at reasonable prices. A very family friendly restaurant. My parents took us there for dinner as children, I took mine, now they take theirs. We are a big Irish family, and Demi’s is our favorite takeaway! I drive from NH now to go to Demo’s.Parking: You can park at a meter on the street, or a side road and walk a bit. But it’s tricky parking.

Today my salad was romaine and mesclun. It wasn't the iceberg that I have loved for the 31 years I've been coming to this place. The food was still great. This salad was fresh but it wasn't the salad that I thought was famous at Demos. I understand that the owners might want to 'class it up.' Iceberg gets a bad rap but it's the crunch and what we've come to expect at Demos. Crazy as it sounds, I'm less likely to get Demos now that this salad is different.
