“From being greeted by a smiling face and a beautiful atmosphere. The start was great! We were seated in the outdoor/indoor area showcasing the canal! It was beautiful! We had Jonah Crabs for the first time and I fell in love! The Jumbo shrimp 🦐😳 JUMBO! And so fresh! My favorite was the crispy dragon roll💋 we both had the Jonah crab stuffed haddock it was delicious! I’m not going to lie I took half of it home to enjoy it today m! And it was just as amazing as it was yesterday! No microwave needed😘😉💋 10out of 10 for this picky eater“

The entire staff was amazing, the two waitresses were so attentive and sweet to my Husband and I we were blown away. Always making sure we had a drink and even coming to make a plate of desserts for us so we didn’t need to get out of our seat. Please give our best to the chefs as well, I know that it was a lot of food to prepare on a night while the restaurant was also still hosting other guests! “My wife and I were in the area and were looking for breakfast. We drove past and made a uturn. An old school diner? We needed to give it a try. I had an omelette and chili, and my wife had a short stack of pancakes. Everything waa a great example of damn good diner food. The chili was like a thick soup style basic chili full of flavor, the eggs and home fries were solid, and thr pancakes were light and fluffy with a good soft chew.

The waitress was a big part of the experience as well. We were there Saturday morning, and she had all the charm of a jokester on a roll. Friendly with everyone, easy to talk to, quick with both jokes and food. We didn't have to wait long for service or food.

Everything was fairly priced, we paid about $37 before tip, including soda and coffee. The only thing that was less than great, and only slightly at that, was that the air conditioning wasn't able to fully cool the place inside, so it was a little on the warm side. I have no doubt the glass windows facing the sun in almost 90 degree weather played a big part in that. It wasn't hot inside, just not fully cool. If the conditions were the same I would absolutely still go back. Worth a trip just for any one part of the experience, the experience as a whole was fantastic. Even the bathroom was clean.

Many types of bread for your toast; we tried the sourdough and the multi-grain, and both were excellent. The home fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned. Friendly service and easy parking. “I like The Bog Tavern and meet friends there, often for lunch. Like today~for my birthday! I should have gone with my gut and ordered my usual fried chicken sandwich instead of the Lobster Roll, which was a ($38.00) Lunch Special. I was speechless when our server(amazing Jordan) brought it out. It was a mealy, measly serving of lobster meat on a limp roll, with no lettuce to hold it together. And it tasted bland. Bog: Summer is almost here~ you need do to a MUCH better job with the classic Cape Cod Lobster Roll ~or take it off the menu!“

“I had a salad with seared scallops. The scallops were sweet and perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh. Always a good time with daily specials. Also like the half priced appetizers at the bar from 3-5 every day. All the bartenders and waitresses are friendly and responsive.“
