Cafe Sushi has gotten a bit fancier since its post-COVID reopening. The dining room is nicer, the service is more polished, but the inexpensive yet perfect sushi is gone. The sushi is still very good, though the nigiri is garnished with toppings like umami cherry and mint or house preserved yuzu. The sake collection is excellent. For non-sushi, the cabbage and the five-spice chicken were both amazing. Everything tried was fantastic, with an interesting variety of fish prepared to perfection. The seared salmon belly nigiri was a highlight, and the little gem salad was surprisingly good. The quality and freshness of the fish is truly 10/10. However, the seating is 6 tiny seats downstairs and it is incredibly cramped, making it ill-suited for dine-in. Some locations are takeout or delivery only. The sushi is very good but more expensive than it used to be.
