“To go sushi. Very nice employees, but sushi I thought was okay. Most rice heavy sushi I have ever eaten. Salmon tasted fresh. Not sure I would return, but its a good option if you are near and need something quick. I enjoyed it with my red wine. Cheers!“
“Most authentic omakase experience. No frills, but straight focus on quality dishes—seafood, meat, flavors all amazing. This is the spot. Don’t hesitate, book it for that special occasion or if you just want a couple hours of amazing food.Service was great. Recommend the bar seating to see all the prep. Not fancy necessarily, but that’s what makes this place great. It’s an awesome experience that feels like a Japanese hole in the wall.“
“Came here last month and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I appreciated how the front of house told us (before seating us) that if we order sushi, it'd take about an hour to prepare the food because they were so busy. Obviously, because it was a Saturday night.Agedashi tofu - As a tofu lover who often orders this dish, I thought it was super yummy and have great flavor & texture. There were four large cubes and came with a lot of garnishes.Nagaimo Teppan - My friends and I were curious about this dish, but it ended up being very different from what we expected. The texture was crumbly and the flavor was not as good as we anticipated. It was an interesting experience but not worth the price for us.Omusoba - SO GOOD. I wish we ordered less so that I had space to eat more of this dish. The flavors were amazing, especially with the seaweed and mayo on top. I loved that there were noodles inside, since I'm an avid noodle enjoyer.Niku Udon - I was craving something soupy, and this dish was exactly what I was looking for. The noodles weren't the typical thick udon noodles, but instead were more flat. The beef was cooked very well and there was just the right amount of it. The flavor was great and the portion was perfect. LOVED this one!Crab Croquette - My first time having this dish and it was above my expectations. It and the same yummy sauce that was on the omusoba and came with a little bit of salad. The croquettes themselves were cooked very well, but were very filling. Would definitely recommend if you like fried food!In terms of service and layout, the place was pretty full when I went, so I had to sit on a long table in the middle of the room, where servers were constantly going back and forth behind me (I didn't mind it). The servers themselves are kind and welcome to the guests, and the food came out pretty quickly. There is a bar as well as an open kitchen were I could see the sushi chef work his craft. There was overall just a great sense of community inside. Unfortunately, because of its location, the restaurant does not have their own bathroom. Instead, we had to leave the restaurant and go around the corner of the "mall" to use the public bathroom. It was fine.In conclusion, I highly recommend going, especially when they aren't busy“
“I've gotten poke from here a couple times now and I'm never disappointed! I usually build my own bowl and the fish is very fresh and in good sized-chunks. They have a good variety of toppings too. The first time I came in here I was having trouble deciding which sauce to get and the guy working the counter let me taste spoonfuls of them (so they go above and beyond). I've only ever gotten it to go but they have a bit of seating inside.“
“Chris is a talented chef and a kind host. He was attentive to our unique tastes and was informative on the decisions for each dish. His description of the dishes and how they paired with sake made the experience memorable. The ingredients felt fresh and special. Absolutely worth a special evening.“
“I am literally writing this as I eat because it is THAT good. I went to Japan a few years ago and this is better than the sushi, sashimi and gyoza I had there. The presentation, quality, attention to detail is all impeccable. I would recommend this to anyone.“
“Great small sushi restaurant right on Mass Ave in Cambridge. Specialty rolls such as Sakana, Rocky Road, and Crimson are really impressive with a variety of flavors and textures. Standard sushi such as salmon avocado also very good. Great service and great sake options as well. Small space but very cute and comfortable for a date night.“
“We went to the bar area, which is in the room where the live jazz band plays throughout the night. The sushi was of great quality and variety. In addition, some of their drinks come in fun cups! I got the painkiller in a fun pig mug with a little rubber duck. If you want to watch the jazz band, you'll have to reserve a spot in the room for a table or a place at the bar.“
“Staff were so, so sweet, but the food was not it. The salmon sashimi was super funky to the smell and mouth... That was their last serving of salmon, so I didn't want to be that person to ask for exchange. So, I held my breath and ate 'em all.“
“Love this sushi. The service is rushed, so they should work on customer service to make it a 5-star restaurant experience. We've gone 3 times, and all 3 times we are always being rushed to order, and then they bring everything at once, even if you asked for drinks and appetizers. We decided to do take-out to avoid getting rushed. Otherwise, the sushi is really good. It's a shame. They have good drinks too, but they haven't grasped the timing or demeanor to make eating-in an enjoyable experience.Vegetarian options: Nice section of vegetarian rolls. We tried the honey, and it was absolutely amazing. I am not a vegetarian, and yet I loved it! They had many creative vegetarian rolls.“
“I had a bit of an anxiety attack while I was at this restaurant. I have bad anxiety about food and I had convinced myself that I had eaten raw eel, which can be dangerous. The people here were SO sweet about it, especially the older woman. As I sat there crying and shaking, sure I was going to die of a heart attack, she ordered the chefs to make me some eel so that I could see what cooked eel looks like. She gave me a cup of water and even offered some miso soup.I am forever grateful to them for being so kind. It was a horrible, terrifying moment for me as I had convinced myself that I would soon die, but the comfort that the workers there showed me was so helpful and wonderful. They do in fact steam their eel before using it, so I was perfectly safe and I did NOT need to be freaking out as much as I was, but despite that she still did everything she could to calm me down. It’s a delightful place to eat and their food, pardon the expression, is to die for :) please eat here! Give them my love! Thank you for being such a wonderful place for college students to eat!“
“Great ambience, located a five minute walk from Kendall T station. We went at 7ish and it was starting to get packed, but the service was great--they had a lot of cocktail and alcohol options that seemed delicious, we just didn't happen to try any. Highlight of dinner was definitely the spicy salmon maki. Salmon was incredibly fatty and delicious, definitely high quality. We also ordered the Tempura maki, popcorn shrimp and Agedashi Tofu. While the agedashi tofu and tempura maki were alright, the popcorn shrimp is definitely a must try. The coating is flaky and light, and the shrimp tasted fresh and bouncy. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!“
“A Chinese run Sushi restaurant. Food are tasty but seems like pricy for a little non-authentic Japanese restaurant. We ordered one Eel don one Udon noodle, and one signature role $85! I don’t know how was that happened. The price went up a lot, we have to scan QR code to get the latest price. One thing I noticed, eel don has increased $5 from the printed menu.“
“I've been to quite a few Ramen places. This place is definitely in my top 10. I recommend the Umami Ramen. I also tried their norishio french fries, unagiinu eel, fried shrimp tartare...All very delicious. The service super friendly. Loved being greeted when I came and when I left. Cant wait to come back. Next time I'll try a drink.“
