“Best sushi I’ve had in Boston and surrounding area.I love sushi, so the quality of my sushi is important to me. Ive been to numerous sushi places around the city, you name it I’ve been there. Nothing, and I mean nothing compares to new sushi Allston. Not to mention the prices are great aswell. Customer service is amazing, the sushi chef knows the order I always get, he even throws a free spicy miso(which is amazing) whenever I place an order.I would highly recommend this place over any other sushi restaurants, even the high end ones.“
“We absolutely loved The Q and cannot wait to go back. We tried several things across their fantastic and diverse menu. From sushi, to dim sum, to Mongolian hot pot. . .all of it, and I mean ALL OF IT, was fantastic! The service was outstanding- there if you had questions, but also let us enjoy our food without rushing or interruption. The atmosphere was vibrant, but not loud. It was a wonderful meal. I have already recommended The Q several times.“
“Absolutely loved it! We had the karami and enmi ramen, and shared the gyoza. We finished every last drop of the ramen and wanted to bathe in the sauce on the gyoza OMG. It was thriving and happening on a Wednesday night, and the waitstaff were lovely and attentive. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu!“
“We got the salmon cups, which was very hearty and yummy! We also got the Botan Ebi Ikura and the Miso Butter Cod and another handroll which I forgot but all were so fresh and delicious in their own ways. We did have to wait 20 minutes to be seated since it is a small space, but it was totally worth it!“
“This was one of the BEST omakase experiences I have ever had. The attention to detail was extraordinary. I ate at several two and three star Michelin restaurants last summer in France and I was happier with my dining experience at Umami. The quality of ingredients is absolutely stellar and it is truly a treat for all the senses. Go!!“
“This was an amazing Omasake experience in Lexington. Chef Mike prepares all of the sushi fresh in front of you. He is committed to pushing himself to create unique and different flavors. Definitely the best omakese we've had in the Boston area. Could not recommend more if you want great food with a relaxed, cozy atmosphere.“
“My dining experience at Fuji at Newton was nothing short of spectacular! Right from the moment we walked in, the ambiance set a high expectation with its sleek, modern decor that felt both inviting and upscale. The lighting and music were perfectly set to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and family gatherings. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations that were spot on. It's rare to find a place where the staff is genuinely enthusiastic about their offerings, and this enthusiasm was infectious! Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Fuji at Newton offers an extensive menu that explores the rich flavors of Japanese cuisine with innovative twists that are both creative and delicious. We started with the Gyoza, which were perfectly pan-fried to a delightful crisp on the outside while remaining succulent on the inside. But the real game-changer was the sushi - each piece was a work of art, fresh and flavorful, with the sushi rice seasoned to perfection. The Dragon Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll were particularly memorable, each bite bursting with freshness and complex flavors that danced on the palate.“
“Great menu all around. Ebi has an assortment of rolls from your typical American sushi rolls to their specials. Any roll ordered should be great. The menu is easy to understand and the ordering process was fast. Depending on the time and number of patrons checking out might take some time.Very clean with a warm atmosphere. I highly recommend the Somerville Role with an udon on a cold spring day.Parking: Must get a parking pass from the hostess/host or your car will get towedWheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking and a ramped entrance“
“Great food, great service. The yakitori are grilled to perfection. The wait staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The drink menu offers an array of sake, cocktails, wine and beer. Cannot wait to go back and try more food!“
“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“
“The truffle Mac and cheese and No 9 Truffle salt ramen were delicious! I ordered these online to be delivered to my hotel room and it came right to my door and in sustainable mostly paper packaging (no styrofoam!). Would eat here again!Vegetarian options: All veganDietary restrictions: Vegan“
“This high-end sushi restaurant offers exceptionally fresh fish and top-notch service. Our party of six opted for the family-style dining experience, and we were all delighted by the incredible dishes served. Each dish was truly amazing, showcasing the chef's skill and the quality of the ingredients.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with outstanding sushi.“
“Do not be alarmed by the fact that one must walk through another noisy and Hawaiian-themed restaurant to get to this sushi restaurant. Once the food is served, you will immediately forget the weird entrance. Every piece is creative and superbly seasoned. Perfection from beginning to end!!! The Japanese rice is just the right softness. The fish is cut to the right size and thickness. This is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Boston! What a pleasant surprise!!! Highly recommend!!!!!Minor note to chefs - if you could play some nice jazz music, it would make the meal even more pleasant and authentic. Right now the pop music does not go with the high quality sushis.“
“Miso soup was watery - not a good idea to serve this as a first dish and underperform. Agedashi tofu sauce was too starchy - not what I normally eat. The soba was average, but the yakitori don was good. At this price point, I would not travel specially to try this but might eat it if nearby.“
“absolutely loved this resturant. it is a sister resturant to futago udon right next door and the service is just as wonderful. eating the mazesoba truly is an experience - the combination of the flavors of the runny egg yolk and the umami flavors of the sauce is wonderful. you can also add vinegar to your noodles to change up the taste which I find fantastic. yuzu mazesoba was light, acidic, and refreshing. portion is just right. after you finish your noodles the leftover sauce is eaten with a free scoop of rice. just a wonderful resturant!“
“They have lots of interesting dishes that you don’t usually find in a sushi restaurant in the US. The location is also great, with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. They also have metered street parking nearby.Parking: Paid street parking from Mon/Sat during the day. Evenings and Sundays are free.“
“Very nice sushi place. It is not very big, but had loads of small tables for two and four. I came at 7 o'clock on a Saturday and could only sit at the sushi bar itself (four seats) They had a nice set of sushi options, including an all salmon, sashimi and rolls.“
“This is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The fatty blue fin tuna is like wagyu of tuna (see picture). This type of cut is very rare. The place is not very big, with about 30 seats, so if it’s busy you may need to wait to be seated. Luckily the service is very fast and on-point. The chef (itamae) is super friendly and can create a-la-carte rolls.Super Fusion Sushi is now my favorite sushi place in the Boston area. Two thumbs up!!“
“I was in the mood for sushi for dinner and normally I go somewhere else but I thought I give this one a chance and I definitely will be back . The staff is so nice and friendly and greeted me when I walked in . And the food is soo good I had different kind of sushi and it is the best one I had so far.I highly recommend and I definitely will be back .“
“Delicious and fresh sushi and sashimi at a hidden spot! But as the saying goes, the aroma of wine is not afraid of the depth of the alley. Come on, store! We got the toro tataki and scallop uni tataki as well as the toro hand roll from the omakase menu, and the lunch special makimono. All amazingly tasty and we are hungry for more!“
“The sushi was fantastic. I based going there solely on the google review and it did not disappoint. Specifically, the salmon was amazing. Probably the best sushi grade salmon we have ever had. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is anything out of the ordinary, the service was good even though only one waitress for the number of tables. She was quite attentive and once ordered the food came out fast and presentation was great. If you want good sushi, I highly recommend Matsuba. Probably an excellent take out option and pricing was on par or slightly better than average in my opinion.Parking: There is a lot within a couple minute walk.“
“Overall loved the sushi, the wait staff, and the experience. It was a little darker than what I would have wanting in terms of lighting. But other than that would book again for sure. The sushi was so good. And our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable.“
“Hands down the best sushi in Boston! UNI has quickly earned its place as my go-to for celebratory dinners with my partner. Fantastic place to impress a date or family with a cool and fun atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming service ties this delicious experience together. We can't wait to go back!“
“I highly recommend the salmon dumpling, the first bite was really amazed. There were only 3 dumplings, and, my friend and I were two people. But the waiter was kind enough to give one more, just so we could share it evenly. The sea urchin soba noodles and oysters were really great as appetizers.“
“My friends and I arrived at Chiharu right when it opened on the weekend, and it was not too busy. There is a small parking lot next to the driving school with designated parking spots for this restaurant, but the space is a bit tight there. There is also only one server, so the service is not exceptionally fast. I ordered sashimi salad, salmon sashimi, scallop sashimi, kiss of fire roll, spider roll, phoenix roll, spicy titanic roll, and torched yellowtail roll. My favorite was the spicy titanic roll, but I also quite enjoyed the phoenix roll and kiss of fire roll. The sashimi slices are a bit thin in the sashimi salad, but I did enjoy the variety of fish and vegetables present. My favorite sashimi was the yellowtail, which tasted quite fresh and delicious. All the seafood in the rolls tasted really fresh and good, including the shrimp tempura. My least favorite was the torched yellowtail roll as I did not taste much yellowtail, and the eel felt lackluster. The scallop sashimi was alright, and the salmon sashimi was on the leaner side. I enjoyed the careful effort put into the presentation of all these sushi. Unfortunately, their other special rolls do not sound as appealing to me, but I would come back again since their sushi tastes fresh!“
“Wow - what a find! Definitely stop by if you're in the area and wanting sushi. I was so impressed from start to finish. First: the FOOD! Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. No regrets on any order. I went with two other people and we ordered the following: - edamame - salty, plump, and perfectly steamed - spicy avocado shrimp salad - like nothing i've ever had! the flavors were so incredible! the best way i can describe it is like a tennis ball size amount of a shrimp-slaw surrounded by thinly sliced avocado. beautiful mix of creamy and acidic flavors - spicy tuna roll - the added touch of green onions was yummy - tempura shrimp roll - love that crispy texture - sweet potato roll - much more substantial than a typical version of this roll - king roll - incredible combo with the salmon on top and a mix of mango and veggies inside the rice - def my personal favorite of our selection - another tuna special roll i cannot recall the name of Secondly, the ambiance. Simply gorgeous! The restaurant has high ceilings, sexy bar seating around a U-shaped bar in the center of the restaurant, and cozy booths around the perimeter. Lots of warm gold tones and natural wood. Tasteful and classy! Thirdly, and so importantly: the service. This was especially important because one of the people who joined me is a close friend with a very severe tree nut allergy. Sushi is often a safe bet for her in terms of her allergy, but I made sure to call and ask about it when I made my reservation. Chef Alex happened to take my call and immediately addressed my concerns, assuring me that the kitchen can guarantee no cross contamination and is very careful about allergens. He even mentioned how he has two people close to him who have serious allergies as well, so it's a topic close to his heart. He added a note to our reservation and said he would personally visit our table. Fast forward to our visit, and he did personally stop by to reiterate the kitchen policies to reassure my friend. Even aside from his visit, his wife (I regretfully cannot remember her name) was so accommodating while serving us our meal. As Sushico does not have dessert, she very thoughtfully recommended nearby dessert places with allergy considerations in mind. My only request to Sushico: please add dessert!!! To Yelpers: this place is incredible!“
“First visit (solo), had the salmon combo with miso soup. Very good. Sat at the sushi bar. The hostess/ server was very pleasant but tried making small talk with the sushi chef - he was not so friendly but that's OK. The food was good and I will be back.“
“The BEST poke in Boston, period! I have tried all of them in the area and always left hungry and disappointed for the same reason, 90% of the bowl is rice with a few pieces of fish. This place is different. The bowl has a generous amount of fresh, high quality fish, reasonable amount of rice and other ingredients that make the bowl coherent in flavor. It tastes amazing and it is very satisfying as well. Couldn't recommend it enough!!!“
“Last weekend, my partner and I decided to explore the much-raved-about Fuji at Ink Block in Boston's vibrant South End. Let me just say, the experience was nothing short of spectacular, surpassing our expectations in every possible way.We started with the Edamame Truffle Dumplings, which were absolutely divine, offering a burst of flavors that left us eagerly anticipating what was to come. For our main course, we opted for the Chef's Selection Sushi and the Black Cod Miso. Each sushi piece was a work of art, fresh and full of flavor, demonstrating the chef's skill and attention to detail. The Black Cod Miso was simply sublime, with the fish perfectly cooked, flaky, and infused with a delicate balance of sweetness and umami.“
“Deluxe Sashimi Platter ⭐️ It was great! It's really fresh and there are a lot of varieties, except for the sea urchin, which is a bit fishy Octopus Carpaccio ⭐️ The seasoning is very refreshing and the octopus is very chewy, I love it Torched Japanese Scallop ⭐️ It was very light, I couldn't really taste the seasoning, but it was very tender Unagi Don ⭐️ A friend ordered this. Gyu Don + Onsen Egg ⭐️ The beef is very juicy and the onsen egg is very flavorful“
“POSITIVE: Good hot and sour soup. Good lunch options (food quantity and price). NEGATIVE: 1 person took our order, another person delivered the food to our table. No one came to check if everything was ok, or offer water refill. Kung Pao chicken was more sweet than spicy. Would not order again. Crab rangoon was overcooked and hard to eat. Went during a Saturday lunchtime. Very few customers until close to end of lunch special time. On-street parking, so limited by time of day and other business customers on the same street. It's a little "hole in the wall" place; easy to miss. In all fairness, I would try it once more to see if other dishes are better.“
“I recommend everything about Shore Leave. We came here on Tuesday during a work trip and had the best night of the whole trip. Food was great, drinks were great, and the staff was amazing. The atmosphere was so fun (there’s a disco ball!) and very welcoming of all customers. We ended up staying out til midnight singing karaoke and for many of our group that was their first time ever singing karaoke in our group. 10/10, 5 stars.“
“Our favorite family restaurant. Everything is delicious and atmosphere is lovely. Everyone is really nice and friendly. Our family and friends love it and we’ve been going there for more than 10 years whether we eat at a regular table or in a tatami, we always enjoy the meal and the “
“OK but like this is where you can get Omakasa without paying $200 and wait for a month for it!!I absolutely love the Omakasa here because it came with Uni, miso soup, rice, seaweed for handmade maki, various salt flavoring, and everything was super fresh. It was 79$ for my portion and I love it. So worth it!“
“Best sushi spot I’ve found in the area. The food is phenomenal. The nigiri always comes with a generous amount of fish that is super tender and flavorful. And they serve toro and mackerel, two of my favorites that aren’t always easy to find.“
“If you're seeking an authentic sushi experience in South Boston, Sushi Moka is unparalleled. Beyond its fresh offerings, what sets it apart is the personal touch. Every visit feels like a reunion; the staff not only remembers your face but also your favorite dishes. This level of recognition and attention to detail makes dining here truly memorable and authentic.“
“It's a good place to get Thai food and Sushi.I give the Masseman Curry and Siam Garden dishes a solid B and my partner feels the same about the Sushi. Thai Ice Tea is decent. We have been there around 10 times over 6 years. Food seems a bit improved recently.“
“My boyfriend and I just went here and split a few sushi rolls and the chicken Kara age. All of the food was really delicious, might be the best kara age I’ve ever had, and their lunch menu pricing is really reasonable. Our waitress was really nice and all the food came out quickly.“
“The food was excellent so I'd give 5 stars just for that but they went above and beyond to cater to our kids food allergies, which is always difficult when you are traveling and have to eat out.The lady then took time to speak with our boys, ask them they're name and wrote it out in Thai on a piece of paper for them to take home as well as teach them how to pronounce it. Our boys were super happy.I would 100% return.Dietary restrictions: Allergies“
“Very traditional and authentic Japanese cuisine served in a classic traditional setting. Most importantly the raw fish was extremely fresh and authentically sourced and prepared. They’d a raw octopus appetizer which was delicate and delicious, the sweet shrimp was super sweet, and the baby yellowtail was like butter. The uni from Maine was more like sweet Japanese uni and better tasting than San Diego uni. The hamachi kama was a treat and huge. This is as good as best sushi in Tokyo and very fresh and authentic, yet unbeatable prices especially for Boston.“
“Great small sushi restaurant right on Mass Ave in Cambridge. Specialty rolls such as Sakana, Rocky Road, and Crimson are really impressive with a variety of flavors and textures. Standard sushi such as salmon avocado also very good. Great service and great sake options as well. Small space but very cute and comfortable for a date night.“
“Stopped by for the first time after work today to grab dinner. Definitely one of my new favorites. I got the omakase set and there were no frills or gimmicks, it was just fresh and delicious fish. I wanted to get just one ikura order as an extra, but was informed that I needed to order at least two pieces of the same sushi, so i opted not to, but when my plate came out, they added it anyways! The food was so good that I forgot to bring it up and thank them... hope they see this! ごちそうさまでした!“
“Chris is a talented chef and a kind host. He was attentive to our unique tastes and was informative on the decisions for each dish. His description of the dishes and how they paired with sake made the experience memorable. The ingredients felt fresh and special. Absolutely worth a special evening.“
“Great place! Had a meeting at Milk Street Cafe and had no idea it was a Kosher restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised. They have multiple kitchens so you can have both meat or dairy. The salads and soups are great. Great option for easy lunch in this neighborhood.“
“When arriving to the place, they offer valet parking, which is pretty nice. However, I parked the first spot next to the restaurant which has a tree branch next to the curb, so I literally had to squeeze out of my way from my car, and making sure I didn’t kill the tree. That was poor a landscaping choice. As you first walk in the ambience is well put, the dimness of it makes it a great nighttime experience, but sometimes it can be too dark to see anything but I think that’s kind of the point. It gives off a Contemporary vibe for social media. The seatings near the windows are so close to each other that I could barely get into my seat across from my friend so I had to sit next to her because I didn’t want to bother the people behind, so maybe try to space out better? For the price point and food I think it was a bit underwhelming. For one you’re not gonna be expected a sized portions, it’s pork one serving if not a half. I ordered the hand roll miso scallop, which I felt like they added too much chili pepper flakes making it, overpowering the entire thing. The tuna and truffle, was underwhelming, wasn’t a huge fan of the plating, and it was okay taste. I think the flavor could do some more work in both dishes. The edamame and corn were pretty solid for bites at the bar! Don’t get me wrong, the sushi there is fresh, but it doesn’t quite meet up the expectation I had anticipated. You’re expected to spend quite an amount, but not fully ever get full off of it. I would definitely recommend for the atmosphere but food is just something that I wouldn’t gravitate towards.“
“I love and adore this place. Yes, it's very much a hole in the wall, and yes it really doesn't have much seating. You'll probably have a better experience here if you order for takeout as most people do.But the sushi here is legit. And the prices really cannot be beat. I'm forever a loyal customer if they keep these prices.“
“Great Wok Wellesley is a culinary treasure tucked away in the heart of the town. With its inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, it promises a memorable dining experience. From classic Chinese dishes to innovative creations, every bite is a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Great Wok Wellesley delivers exceptional Chinese cuisine that keeps customers coming back for more.“
“Great place! Very clean & the staff is very friendly! The sushi is absolutely delicious! I got the beef bento box... Is was delicious & a great deal.. large portion! I also got the volcano roll! It was delicious! I will definitely be going back! Very humble people! Please give them a try!“
“We were deciding what to eat for our anniversary dinner. One kid wants sushi, another wanted ramen or chicken katsu, wife wanted sashimi and I wanted Yakitori. We landed on Omori Izakaya.Parking was easy right on the same street and plenty of spots available at dinner time on a Saturday. We got there earlier than our reservation. We were seated immediately with maybe few more tables open. We order some Yakitori and appetizers to start. The pork belly, chicken gizzards and chicken hearts were extremely flavorful. The chicken skin was crunchy perfection. The octopus was grilled to perfection with a little of mixed spices on top. Hotate Kaiyaki came out on a little warmer with a little flame and very cool presentation. Tako Yaki was good as well. For main courses we order chicken katsu dinner and dragon roll and caterpillar and sashimi combo. The kids love the chicken katsu. They also loved the maki rolls. Sashimi also fresh.Overall we had a great time. The food were very good. The stars were the Yakitori skewers.Parking: Plenty of meter parking on the same street as the restaurant.“
“Cozy atmosphere, decent prices, free miso soup no matter what you order.Server kept forgetting items in our order but we would ask and he would say they're on their way.. I assure you, the tea coming after the sushi boat was made and eaten was definitely a forgotten tea. They have gluten free soy sauce and as a vegetarian I was able to eat a cucumber avocado roll.Vegetarian options: Not labeled on menu but you could ask.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free soy sauce.“
