The Phoenix Landing

Decent priced drinks, good wait staff, fun atmosphere. The reason this place doesn’t get a 5 is that I left and came back an hour later to a sketchy dude outside asking me for $10 to get in (on a Tuesday night, place was mostly empty). Not sure if he was a legit bouncer or just an opportunistic homeless person, but either way it left me with a sour taste in my mouth and turned me away. I understand charging a cover but it might help to make it look more official and keep people from loitering out front.

Visited during an event (dnb/junglist - Elements), it was at first a bit crowded with event attendees and patrons of the pub, over the course of the night it became more comfortable. Drinks were well worth the money and I liked that they had water available for attendees (not quite tap water, but it was cold, refreshing, and made the night more enjoyable - I'm not a big alcohol drinker)

It is a very nice pub, with nice people and good sport. I liked the IPA they served, cool and fruity as expected. Service is great and as it was Christmas time, good music if that time of the year.

We visited for a Liverpool match against Real Madrid. The atmosphere was crazy. At a moment I was thinking that I am in a pub outside of Anfield.

Nice vibes

I feel I was discriminated by the bouncer. I arrived 2 minutes after my non-POC friend, and the bouncer told her to take whatever table she wanted or sit at the bar. I arrived 2 minutes later and then the bouncer told me there’s a private event and I can’t sit at the bar, and there’s no tables available, when there clearly were plenty of spots. Only after I stated that my friend was sitting at the bar did he grudgingly allow me to sit at the bar. Nasty experience

Great place for Liverpool games.

Charged a bunch of our group 5 dollars, then switched to 10 halfway through. When we questioned it the bouncer fully said they were charging 10 the whole time. It was quite rude. Wouldn’t recommend.

Had such a fun night here—great music, cheap drinks, and the kind of energy that makes you want to dance. My friend and I ended up chatting with a couple of guys we met in Boston who showed us this spot to check out the Cambridge scene. We danced, laughed, and tried to talk over the music (kind of worked). Definitely one of those spontaneous nights that turns into a core memory.
