Chatham Pier Fish Market Reviews
overpriced and gave out raw "fried" scallops. we used to go out of our way to come here on our cape visits but now we will go out of our way to avoid. prior to my raw plates being given to me, i had an interesting interaction with the teenager on the outside register when I tried to order inside. I am doubting the coincidence in raw food after dealing with her attitude. Given the the young kid who had been yelling out the orders, leaned in & said to her prior to hollering my name.....read full review
The girl was extremely rude while taking our order. We spent $59.69 for a lobster roll and fish with fries, and when I went back and asked her for an extra tartar sauce, she said I was only allowed to have the one, which would have been fine if she had not been so rude about it. The food was good but it’s hard to enjoy our meal with such poor customer service. She does not need to be the person out front with the customers. The pier was nice, we saw seals and a lobster boat...read full review
After spending $106 in 3 Lobster bisque and a shrimp basket plus one drink one of the soup only had one tiny piece of meat ,very smart of the server to put the others 2 soups in close bag so we did'nt notice until we were back home, thanks but no more do not disrespect loyal costumers like that.
Menu
Chatham Pier Fish Market is a restaurant known for its fresh, locally caught seafood. Visitors enjoy watching boats come in with fish, including dog shark and skates, making it a great spot for kids to watch. The location offers a lookout deck with a view of the harbor, where seals can often be seen swimming. The menu includes options such as fish and chips, blackened swordfish, and a buttered lobster roll. The fish and chips, featuring lightly breaded and deep-fried haddock, are a popular choice, along with the blackened swordfish, which is described as delicious and tender. The lobster roll is tasty, but could be butterier. The crab cake has good flavor but has been compared unfavorably to others, and some recent reviews mention issues with raw scallops and less-than-expected food quality. The restaurant's tartar sauce is praised, except for those who prefer it without chunks of onion. The fries and onion rings are both good, but the onion rings are noted as being soft and not crispy. Visitors often find the line to order long, but the food is generally hot and tasty, especially the French fries, which are a favorite. The location has limited outdoor picnic table seating, but climbing to the upper deck of the adjacent building can provide a chance to see seals frolicking in the water below. While it is on the pricier side, many feel the freshness of the seafood makes it worth the cost. Parking can be challenging, with lines forming as people leave. Everything is outstanding and well worth a short wait. The restaurant is highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Cod.
