“This place is fantastic! We stumbled into it doing a crash-n-dash in Sturbridge on our way from Bar harbor to NYC. For a place that occupies a pretty unassuming position at the end of a strip mall in suburban Massachusetts, it wildy overperforms! There were plenty of things to satisfy the palate of the typical consumer of Americanized Mexican food, but they had plenty of the good stuff too, including a mind-bogglingly large collection of Mexican spirits and as good a Carnitas plate as I have had on either side of the border. The bartender/sommelier China was amazingly knowledgeable, and treated us to some fabulous tastes of artisanal spirits I had never heard of before. It was a truly remarkable serendipitous find for a discerning Californian foodie like me. I will definitely steer all my friends who might be staying in the area to this place.”

“My wife and I attended today's 1230 Fireside Feast and it was definitely worth the two hour drive. The staff was excellent answering all of our questions and service during the dinner was over the top. The downstairs was crowded but everything was orderly with cheese and crackers, mulled cider and wine being served. The bar staff made some really festive cocktails. Once we were upstairs, the chowder was creamy and filled with clams. All of the food was hot and the prime rib was roasted perfectly over the fire. This was our first time going and will be back again next season. Thank you to all of the staff, not only host, servers, bar tenders and others we interacted with but also those behind the scene. These would be food preps, dish washers, chefs and anyone else who works at Salem Cross Inn. Merry Christmas and we will be back next season. Thank You.”

She went above and beyond in every possible way. At one point, I was literally about to walk down the aisle without my bouquet, and Amy stopped me, sprinted back to my room, and got it for me — talk about a lifesaver! I handed her all of my décor the day before, and she set everything up more beautifully than I could have imagined. It felt like she pulled the vision right out of my head. The food was incredible — our guests are still talking about it. Between the amazing service, the historic charm of the venue, and Amy’s unmatched dedication, our day was everything we dreamed of and more. If you’re considering Spencer Country Inn for your wedding or any event — DO IT. And make sure Amy is by your side!”
