We were in the area and found The Portuguese on Google Maps. We walked in and were greeted and the man explained all the options of different pastels, pastries, take out and sit in choices. The food was warm and delicious, and the energy from the workers were so warm, kind and happy. We’ll definitely be back!
A welcome difference from the pricey, touristy restaurants of Falmouth. We enjoyed the freshly prepared Portuguese-influenced seafood dinners. The sauces have depth and a careful preparation that tastes like someone's Grandma made them. Everyone in the restaurant is kind, friendly, and welcoming. Took home a few of the beautiful deserts to sample later.
I was hungry for a nice breakfast sandwich, and that is just what I got at The Portuguese. I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese. The customer service was terrific, the woman who took my order and made my sandwich was the kind of person you hope to encounter in the restaurant industry but rarely do. The sandwich was scrumptious. I added the orange carrot juice and a chocolate mousse for later!
