“Outside of the minimal carpet smell issue, this impromptu visit to Sumo is exactly what it needs to be! Featuring my order of 'Shrimp Shumai' and a 'Kai' vodka seltzer, lychee flavored! My server Janyce was and is amazing, gaining compliments from the other bar guests about their drink orders. I cannot wait to visit again soon, don't count the days but I'll be back ;) <3“

“REFUSED MY REFUND FOR FOOD POISONING Order food with a friend on Doordash from this restaurant and everything he had was fine, my hibachi teriyaki chicken I ate made me violently sick to my stomach and I’ve been throwing up at work, and I still feel very unwell. I was perfectly fine all day, this was the first thing I even ate today as well. I became unwell half an hour after eating the chicken. Called the restaurant asking nicely if I could get a refund for the one item that was mine and I was told “this chicken hasn’t made anyone else sick all day so maybe you’re having an off day” and “our hands are tied” and they refused to give me a refund for food I can’t even finish the leftovers of. It shouldn’t matter if everyone else ate it and was fine all day, if a customer gets sick from food from your establishment it’s common decency to give them a refund for their unpleasant experience and troubles. I shouldn’t have to come here and write a bad review because of how upset I am or take it a step further and be a jerk to them on the phone or in person to get my money back, I’m not that kind of person.. but I came here to express what I had to deal because I’m very upset I spent money on something that made me unwell and I can’t even finish... 🤷🏻♀️🙄“
