“I've been at this place numerous over several years times, so this is a late review. I can call this restaurant my favorite one. Every visit we had, every dish we tried from the menu - everything was exceptional each time. They have an extensive menu of sushi, rice and noodles with different proteins, as well as a bunch of signature dishes. Drinks include high quality cocktails and sake, including an ability to order a sake flight. On my photos you can find my favorites - Mei Fan and Scorpion Bowl cocktail. The place is big. It is divided into 4 separate rooms: bar zone, booth zone and 2 usual dining areas (on the photo). Plus they have a patio during warmer months. This allows them to seat everyone even during peak loads. There is a lot of parking space available. It also has a website with actual menu and an ability for online ordering, which I appreciate.I absolutely recommend this place if you're in the area. You can pick literally anything from the menu and it will not disappoint.Parking: Free parking lot with many parking spacesKid-friendliness: Highchairs availablet“
“This is one of my favorite restaurants in CT. I've become a bit of a regular. Service is good, and food is fantastic. Ramen (non-spicy version) is really comparable to this excellent hole in the wall I went to in Tokyo, although normally ordering it spicy now - it's just that good. Korean dishes are also excellent and I'm a bit of a snob. tbh my favorite thing on the menu is their potato salad.“
“A MUST. I'm from out of state and every single time I visit I ask to go here. Consistently delicious. My go-to is general tso chicken. Never a 'weird' piece of meat, very crispy and generous portion. We've tried basically every appetizer on the menu, all 10/10. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, and the spring rolls. The cocktails are very tasty, the lemon drop especially. Some drinks are served in fun glasses like a tiki! Service is great, very friendly and attentive. Never have to wait too long but I also like that the food doesn't come out asap too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will continue coming back!“
“the specialty lover roll was fantastic! it is my third time ordering from this place and both takeout and dine in lunch were fresh and delicious. came in on a Sunday afternoon and only one other set of people were there. highly recommend you come give yume a try!!“
“Let me start with I love good ramen! This place is one of the best places in the area and I have eaten at few different spots. Their broth is rich and not too salty. I had the Buddha Ramen without the tofu and it was absolutely fantastic. I literally finished the whole bowl including all the broth and noodles which is a rarity for me!The noodle consistency was amazing. They are definitely not your average packaged noodles. The only time I have had noodles this good was at a ramen place in Austin TX.The only thing I would change is having an option to up the spice level. I love spicy ramen and would have been nice to add a little more spice but honestly it was delish just the way it was!I’m looking forward to going back! Also there are great hikes in the are so this is a great place to stop and warm up after a nice cold weather hike!“
“The Kaliubon in West Hartford is the best. My all time fav restaurant. Comfort food, friendly staff, and relaxed environment. The perfect place to unwind and eat tasty well prepared food. I recommend this place to everyone and they are just as obsessed with this place as I am. You won’t regret taking a visit♥️ just do it! Thank me later :)“
“Little “hole in the wall” type of place. We dined in but they do a ton of takeout because the restaurant is so small. I’m allergic to shellfish and the chef was very careful when making my rolls. We also ordered the vegetable tempura. All of it was delicious! Not a super fancy sushi spot, but highly suggest.Dietary restrictions: The chef was very cognizant of my shellfish allergy, always a worry at a sushi spot!“
“I honestly did not have high hopes for this place. But I am happy to say that we have gotten food here about 5 times now, and it's great. Good prices, and they deliver incredibly fast. The sushi is great, if you are a sushi purest type of person, which I mean stay away from the crazy rolls and stick with some sashimi or nigiri, they do an awesome job with it. Perfect cuts, perfect temperature. If I had to critique I would say, use less panko in your spicy rolls and those could be fantastic too. I will keep going back!“
“The food here is amazing and tastes great every time, I especially love the fillet hibachi. The people who work here are very nice however they never pick up the phone. Most times I have to call 20 times before I can get someone to pick up. I also enjoyed sitting inside and eating before Covid but since then the seating has not been opened up again which is very unfortunate.“
“It was a rather interesting restaurant to visit. I've been to quite a few in Connecticut, however, this one had the services of Habachi's! This was very interesting! I had a gender reveal invitation and ended up visiting.....it was nice, I plan to revisit with my girlfriend. Also, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very exciting.“
“Elizabeth was what absolutely keeps this establishment a five-star staple for me. Not only is her customer service immaculate, but her kind, out-going attitude is what really makes the store shine.Wheelchair accessibility: People of the handicapped variety will have no issues accessing the restaurant.“
“Good food and service. Sat at the hibachi tables. Had an excellent chef and server. One thing to note: our party of 6 had a 20% gratuity added- pretty standard. BUT, 18% goes to the chef while only 2% goes to the server. Keep this in mind when squaring up your bill and make sure to take care of your servers!“
“My family went here for Hibachi (with the chef preparing food at the Hibachi table) and had a very good experience. The food was good and drinks were reasonably priced for West Hartford and strong. The chef was entertaining and put on a good show. The environment was nice but also kid friendly. There is a 20% service fee for dining in the Hibachi showroom as other reviewers have noted, however there is a sign stating that at the entrance and the server was up front about it as well, so it wasn't a surprise and does make sense given the extra service as part of the experience.I'll definitely come back in the near future!“
“We had a great dinner at Liki! We all had rolls. Everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating. I have a gluten sensitivity and the chef came over to tell me what I could order. I highly recommend the Sarah Roll made GF. We also love the house salad which they have GF dressing for.Vegetarian options: We love the vegetarian rolls, good selection.Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options.“
“First time going here and I ate very well! We were seated immediately and our server was kind. My friend and I enjoyed all of our sushi rolls! The gyoza was AMAZING, perfectly cooked. The dining area was clean with the perfect amount of lighting. Can't wait to go back! But, entrance area can use a remodel as it looks a little unkempt. I do wish parking was better here as it's on a main road with a very small lot.“
“This is our regular date night restaurant. Fantastic drinks, sushi and service. We always ask for whatever the special roll is and then order a bunch of different rolls. They have excellent martinis and Japanese sodas for the non-drinkers or kids. Highly recommended!“
