“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“Blackstrap is my GO TO for bbq, neighborhood vibes, live music, darts, etc. The staff is so fun, the food and drinks are amazing, it’s comfortable and chill but you still get great service and food/drink. The owners are super hands on and always there, and are such nice and cool people. Definitely recommend, especially for their live music nights! Nothing else like it around here!“
“Last of the year bbq for our company and it was the Best decision we made to hire Chris and his staff at Big Pig!! Food was outstanding, service was great! Never before has my staff been so complementary to our past functions but this hit it off the charts!! Everyone that attended our bbq were satisfied with everything!! “We went looking for Barbecue International and found out it was changed to Himalayan Kitchen. First timers and we ran into the owner who was super nice. We had the chicken pakoras, chicken tika masala lunch, garlic naan and beef chilli. Honestly favorite restaurant in Somerville now, definitely going to be regulars here. Everything was spiced perfectly and was amazing. 10/10 perfect comfort food and also good day food. Really happy we stopped by.“

“Coming from the south, I view BBQ a bit differently and I’m always on the hunt for something in New England that gives me that feeling of home. Well, this place is it! I dare anyone to find better ribs for the money you pay here! Fall off the bone ribs with just enough bite. The sauce is the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. This country boy will be back soon!

“Very high quality delicious char-broiled hamburgers, and I used to get huge steak fries, all even-sized. I had been going to Aris Barbecue at the Quincy Market building, next to Faneuil Hall, and their quality has stayed the same for 45 years!“
“The pork quesodilla WOW, subtle sweetness, great crunch, gooey cheese. Key lime pie AMAZING not to tart, firm texture. The server Bea. Was so NICE and generous. You can play Mario kart at the bar!!! Music Playlist great. TV size and pool placement are perfect. Definitely coming back for the live music and a differnet food choice.“

“this is sooooo good, every bite of meat is soft and tender and the biscuits looked mediocre, but tasted perfect. They even thawed out the butter instead of giving me a frozen lump like 99% of restaurants. I will go out of my way to eat here again!“

“I’ve never had skewers bbq before at a restaurant and this was an excellent experience to introduce me to the cuisine. The meats were so well seasoned. I was so happy with everything I got and our service. Honestly, I dreamt about the Mongolian skewers and cucumbers. SO GOOD!!!“

“Good morning I own the Musical Bubble Barge with Santa. After a visit with Santa to Off the Hook, John hooked us up with dinner for 3. Amazing meals My husband had the haddock. Came with spinach (doesn’t like spinach) so I took it from him. I put it back and said taste it. He took a tiny piece. Did the taste taste taste with his lips and said, hmm that’s really good. Garlicky, not mushy… that’s good! And the stuffing in the haddock is delicious. You wouldn’t expect this from a pub. Really good. For me Best fish taco Pieces were huge Santa just chowed on his fish n chips. Said nothing Sat back Pat his belly And said That was a meal! Yum Thank you again, John Happy holidays and congratulations on you baby girl, Tallulah Absolutely adorable 🥰“
