The service from the first call to the timely delivery of hot, fresh food, right through the eating of EVERY LAST BITE we were not disappointed. More than generous amounts of food, and expert guidance in what to order and what not to order. The burnt ends were moist and tender. Blue Ribbon provided generous amounts of extra sauce to your liking which put everything over the top. We're from CT but will definitely visit Blue Ribbon when we're in the area.“
“Parking: Food is pretty good, slightly more on the expensive side for AYCE. Most dishes come fairly quickly. Depending on the wait staff they may or may not offer to get you a new grill. On average the waitstaff are very quick to changing them regardless of a busy night or not. “Happened upon the Square Deli when a friend were in Chelsea for a medical test. OMGOODNESS. It was amazing. The menu was huge and so were the sandwiches. We had a Reuben and Paisano with lotsa fresh ingredients including yummy fresh bread. Served with homemade chips and pickles. Enough for 2 meals or to split if we agreed on the sandwich, lol. The owner was SO nice and friendly and accommodating. We opted for take out containers for another meal and the chocolate chip (homemade & huge) again with a great balance of soft in the middle and crispy on edges. They have been working on their cookies for a while, so they say, I think it's by far the best cookie I have ever had! hopefully don't have to go back for medical tests but would definitely field trip for their pizza next which has won many awards.“

“This place is easily the best bbq in the metro west and probably in the greater Boston area. The smoked brisket is perfectly done, juicy tender, perfectly marbled and beautiful rendered. The owner Bob is a brisket king. Beautiful brioche buns, absolutely delicious sides; Mac and cheese was so satisfying and the beans had a super unique flavor plus the collared greens had amazing flavor and were cooked perfectly. This bbq joint is the whole. damn. package. I recommended 11/10. Do a big takeout order or a family style dinner. You'll be back for more. Good honest business. Love supporting places like this. “Hands down, the Best BBQ in Greater Boston. Best of all, it's cheaper than a flight to Texas. Place is a garage in Union Square with no seating - it's takeout only. The guy that runs the spot is super passionate about the craft and was kind enough to chat and explain the process. Only caveat is that the brisket sells out fairly early. The sides are very good, don't sleep on them. Between this place, BT's in Sturbridge and Rusty Can in Byfield - the New England *good* Q scene is slowly improving.“

When we send out the invitation one of the first questions that are asked is "are we getting food from Tex's?" The staff are so polite, accommodating, and easy to work with. The bar can get crowded but I've never seen more than 3 groups seated beyond the bar high tops in the dining room so you can certainly always get a table. Beers and drinks in general are great! Pretty big menu, I've personally not enjoyed any of the food I've gotten as it all feels bland and kind of nursing-home-taste-bud cooked EXCEPT FOR the mozzeralla sticks. I could eat twenty plates of those.“

I ordered the North Carolina pulled pork sandwich without the bun (for GF) with green beans and baked beans. The portions were so large that I took half of the pulled pork home! Three other people in my party ordered the BBQ burrito and thought it was delicious! Another person ordered the Texas Hot Links Platter, and they also took home leftovers.There were multiple choices for the flavor of their homemade BBQ sauce, and I actually bought a bottle of their original sauce to bring home! The shop had only 3 small tables for seating, but many customers were picking up take out.Dietary restrictions: Right away I asked which of their foods contained gluten. The person who took my order was knowledgeable and pleasant. They easily explained that their meats and most sides were gluten free while the obvious things such as Mac&cheese, the cornbread, and the sandwich buns were not.“
